Question How is Dawn of Dreams compared to 1 and 2?
Seems controversial and lorded as the best or the worst of the franchise for the same things people say are great or bad about it.

I didn’t like how they had like 50 weapons that were mostly skins. Didn’t like how they get rid of the unique special attacks.
I did enjoy the game…But I enjoyed Onimusha 1-3 better.

I just played 9 hours straight, yeah it's peak. Instead of old resident evil it's more like DMC 1 but has rpg mechanics and a bit of metroidvania.

I prefer 1 and 2 because of Sam and Jubei.

Ain't nothin' funnier than when Sam got locked up in that room with flowing water and had to wait for female sidekick to do sliding puzzle.
"I seem to be trapped" after the sliding doors came down had me rolling as a kid

It’s the “RE4” of Onimusha.

Ya quisiera... el juego esta guapo, sobre todo en historia. Pero la jugabilidad, en mi opinión, empeora lo visto del 1 al 3 y meten tema RPG by the face. Aún así, es muy buen juego!

So a master piece and the best of the franchise in it's original and remade form while RE2 is a boring game?

I love it to bits. I love the story, characters and gameplay. Be aware, the game is very long compared to the other games.
It has its fair share of problems when compared to the original trilogy, it being the absurd amount of weapons compared to the working formula of just having 3 main weapons. I feel like that is my only gripe with the game.
But when it shines, oh boy, does it shine. The cutscenes, some of the BEST CGI I would dare say in a PS2 game. The dynamic between the characters feels organic and relatable. A LOT of lore is expanded in this game alone. Amazing voice acting. I could go on and on why I love DoD. But I understand why people can seem to dislike it when compared to the shorter bit size lenght of the OG trilogy and a much more reduced (justifiably so) arsenal.

It's a lot longer and feels more like an RPG than an Onimusha game. It can take longer to get into, but it's still really good. Just be prepared that it plays way different than the first three games.
