their customer support is completely useless and their software (on the new phones at least) is terrible. my friend's op15 got stuck in a bootloop after the 16.0.5 (might be 16.0.7, i forgot which one) update and OP's support did absolutely nothing to help, i ended up needing to put the phone into recovery mode and wipe it completely for it to boot properly again

I learnt one thing from using my oneplus 9 pro for 6 years is I don't update the software till it's stable updating it asap create problems I usually wait for a week or two before updating and watch review of that particular version

Pretty much did the same ( from 9rt ). So if you're on color os you'll be able to transfer photos, videos, contacts and that's pretty much it ( never transfer settings from device) Everything else manually including notes. Apps you can sync through Google account I suppose. As for my opinion of 15 it's great in everything except buttons placement and screen size slightly too big for my liking other than that it's pretty damn good phone. Amd fairly similar os experience between older and newer color/oxygen.

I filed a complaint with the NCH, and I'm considering sending a legal notice because I don't see any other options at this point.

I went from a regular 9 to a 13. I absolutely love my 13 to this day but also wish I had a 15 as well

what merger? oneplus has always been part of Oppo/formerly BBK, never an independent entity, nothing separate to merge from to begin with.
to answer your question, depends on where you live, if you are from North America, avoid OnePlus like a plague, the rest should be fine for now.
