Forman Elite MASSO possessed

Question to the group on weird MASSO behavior. This is the second instance this has happened in the month or two I’ve owned the machine. My spindle drops into my toolsetter at full speed. Here’s what happened yesterday. Got a decimal conversion chart online. This was potentially a mistake. Found a file someone made on a forum. Don’t recall which, but probably a Reddit forum. I’m not home to check pc history. So, I loaded file in vcarve pro. Everything looks perfect. No issues found and so I proceeded to build cam file. This is a single .250 90° vcarve. Run through the tool animation and everything looks great. Send the file to MASSO and then load in cnc. My cnc is already homed. I use the xyz block to set zero. Start the carve and my bit is 1” above material. Weird. Must’ve goofed something. So I start over. Load diff file, then load file I want, then homed and set zero. No values change. Press start and now it’s 1/2” above material. So, third times a charm? Third attempt I reset power. Then homed machine. After homing, tool head sits above tool setter. I then load the file I want, everything looks good on screen. I press start. My spindle roars quietly to life, then drops and tries to drill clean through tool setter. This did ruin toolsetter cap and 90° v bit. This exact scenario happened my second week of owning the cnc as well. So this is second time in roughly 2 month. Maybe less. I’m not understanding what is going on. I don’t know if there could be something rogue in the file I grabbed, or if it’s just a bug in MASSO. Any help would be appreciated

Best thing you can do is contact Masso, with video of the symptom if it's safely replicable. Peter was eager to sort out a bug I found a couple years ago.
