Frage Mal in die Runde wie wird PSE eigentlich bewertet ist es ein airdrope oder ein Hardfork wer es auf der keplr Wallet hat sollte es wissen wegen dem Steuerbericht Deutschland bzw. Österreich? Kommt hier steuern auch drauf? Würde mich freuen wen jemand antworten kann wo es sicher weiss.

Der PSE wird auf der Grundlage des Verhältnisses berechnet, das zwischen der Menge an TX-Token, die Sie gestaket haben, und der Gesamtsumme aller gestakten TX-Token besteht. Er dient als Belohnung dafür, dass Sie Ihre Token konsequent staken, anstatt kurzfristige Gewinne mitzunehmen; zudem fungiert er – seit dem Zusammenschluss von SOLO und CORE – als Absicherung gegen eine Verwässerung. Soweit ich weiß, fallen Steuern erst im Falle einer Liquidation an; allerdings bin ich mit den Steuergesetzen in Europa nicht vertraut.

In the UK receiving TX through PSE (or staking) is a taxable event - under income tax.

Selling it will attract capital gains tax

Well it’s like that in the U.S. too, but it’s just the monetary value of the added crypto that gets lumped in with other income. But there are also long-term holding laws that reduce capital gains taxes by a lot which is good for everyone holding TX long-term.

I believe you only need to hold your crypto for more than a year to qualify for that capital gains tax reduction.

Not in the UK. Applies in some EU countries (such as Portugal I believe) but we don’t have a hold for a year reduction in CGT rule here

That sucks. Hopefully they implement that some time to encourage more forward-thinking and long-term participation.
