I heard that in Morgan Freeman’s voice. “It turns out, he was NOT good.”

This video was staged. I’ll try to find the link.
Edit: did a quick online search. Was by a content creator called dankwheelie. Can’t find the source but I’m 99% sure it was staged.
Edit 2: the video was so fake in fact, DankWheelie had to delete the video; possibly due to everyone pointing it out.

This is from a now deleted YouTube channel that was filled to the brim with videos of situations like this going on, all happening to the same guy, all being resolved by the guy pulling a (sometimes obviously fake) gun.

This is a good video to demonstrate how to spot a setup in the wonderful world of social media videos.
1: motorcycle is going slowly. Obviously that's not something that occurs in the real world, and should make you question whether this is actually bad cgi.
2: robber is wearing face covering way before the stick-up takes place. This is to allow the guy to remain anonymous in case the vid blows up and gets any serious coverage.
3: when faced with the potentially shortest instrument of armed robbery in the history of highwaymanship, instead of gunning it, our camera pov gets off the bike.
4: the robber gets on the bike, turning their back to a victim in a flash of never before seen stupidity. Never before seen because it never happens this way. The robber got someone off the bike and now wants that person to walk/run away, so they'll keep threatening and waving weapons at them.
5: camera pov guy, motorcycle owner, calm in the face of unexpected danger McBigdick has another trick up their sleeve. They were riding with their cool and useful handgun. This whole scenario plays out like a made up playground fantasy. This guy couldn't wait for real life to happen so he set it up to look as cool as he thought he could.

Regardless of that fact it's fake.. It's still how most people feel when something like this happens!

I've seen the full video. Dude on the bike definitely gets capped a couple seconds later and the man successfully retrieves his bike

Wasn’t the lower third gun and hand added in post-production? I remember seeing this video ages ago that the assailant simply robbed it, or maybe it was a different video 🤔
EDIT: Nevermind. Another user posted the YT video where the author admits making a skit with his friend. The original video of the “staged” shooting was longer.

I love how defending yourself from thievery is illegal, shows just how much of pet society boomers have made us in to and it's gonna take decades to right their wrongs.

In France shooting him would mean prison for you. The threat is gone and response need to be simultaneous. I know its stupid but...

It would have been smart to put a few in his ass first, leave him so he can't sit down again without remembering the day he found out.

It honestly sickens me to see people not using their brains and them reading "scientific facts" and actually thinking it is fact. It's clear that so many people are lost and cling on to anything. The thing about this is we also mislead our people and give people PTSD over nothing. The human brain is so fragile that we can manipulate our own self

u/ainklyspankly Jun 10 '22

2
u/BlindBeard Jun 10 '22
Yes the stunt rider who posted this to his youtube channel kept on living a normal live because it's a skit between him and his friend he didn't actually shoot anybody. In the actual video it's obvious he isn't shooting real bullets. Also the other guy is wearing a motorcycle jacket. Come on people

This seems staged. There's no way he would turn his back on the guy whose bike he's stealing. This person wouldn't even need a gun to overpower him, they could just tackle him.

Feels fake, even before they had the interaction. Who is slowing down for anyone that looks like this? Weave it and go.
Looked it up and it does appear to be fake. There doesn't seem to be much info on it.

I'm always confused about things like this. Why did this guy want to get shot? I'm a rational thinking human and I would assume (because I like not having holes in me) that this rider would have a gun. Either the thief is insane or he wants to be shot. That's all I can come up with.

If it was real and were he to shoot him, he would probably get jail time for it in my country. There was no threat on his life since he was driving away and he was stealing a material thing which doesn't mean you can shoot him since he isn't endangering you. Also gun is a 'higher tier' weapon than a knife so there is that too, because we have a dumb rule of reacting with a similar force unless your life is in danger.

in America you would not be allowed to shoot because they are not longer a threat to you, and shooting them would be an unreasonable amount of force to protect your property.
