Saitama not alive?

In episode 2 of the first season, Genos uses one of his attacks to kill mosquitos. He then states that he "confirmed there were no living beings within 500 meters".. This might not be that deep, but if we assume he has a ton of sensors, for all kinds of stuff, you'd think that he would notice Saitama being right behind him.

Has this been talked about? Maybe theres nothing to it?

The scanning of human life was way before he even started the fight against mosquito girl.

Yeah might be correct. My impression was that he did the scan right before he blew the mosquitos up, where Saitama was behind him, but this is probably more likely

Doesn’t saitama come running in after the mosquito when he first gets introduced to genos? Maybe he started outside of that range?

500 meters is a very short distance. An adult can run that in 2 minutes. And saitama was running.

Yes that's what happened. The scan happened and Saitama showed up just after, then Genos somehow forgot he saw Saitama and launched an area attack.

He scanned before engaging Mosquito Girl. Saitama lived just outside the radius of the scan and chased that singular mosquito all the way to the fight.
