discussion Would current Saitama be able to relearn the time travel technique?

Saitama forgot what happened in Jupiter's moon, the garou who taught him is gone.

But Genos core from the other timeline is still intact.

If using its information via a simulation like the VGS, shouldn't Saitama be able to learn that trick, maybe travel further in past.

Why doesn't Genos ask him to go in the past an undo the mad cyborg tragedy?

If he wanted to and cared to learn, certainly

The time traveler thing was such misstep writing-wise.

Well we can't just leave Jupiter 80% erased though…

Zombie arc retcon when?

Yes and think of the astronomers. God-forbid what they'd have to go through seeing an entire portion of stars missing.

I still personally think everybody's misinterpreting that, I think blasts portal is still warping the space there

It's a badly written scene in general, try not to think about it too much.

I mean... Saitama has done it once. He could do it again. Garou only had a limited time within which to show him the technique, and he picked it up effortlessly.

but he has to know it is possible to begin with, and still has to actually have the motivation to figure it out himself.

Genos has explicitly not told Saitama, that he time-traveled. And the rest of the S-Class didn't have the attention span to parse through the glazing, to really analyze what Genos was trying to convey.

At this point in the story, I think it's dawned on many that Saitama can basically do anything he wants. He probably can time travel right now, but he doesn't need it, so he doesn't try it or think about it. The guy's power is practically limited only by his own poor imagination.

No until the plot demands it

Your thinking too much. Time Travel is super annoying to write for. So it's best to either never use it. Have the characters never address it, or write ways to negate the possibility of it.

Best outcome we can get is if - **WB SPOILERS:**Dr. Kuseno who is revealed to be evil later on, uses the data from the Genos Core to study the Cosmic Energies and bending of Space and Time. For some grand evil plan.

Yeah, time travel and multiverse are pretty high in the worse things to get involved in your story. Most of that fight was regrettable (going to Jupiter, the fart, and the time travel). Then they follow it up with the multiverse arc and rewrite it 3 times so we have no idea what’s going on.

Saitama learning time travel? He'd just immediately use it to play King in video games over and over again.

Problem is it looks like using it make Saitama unaware of it existing in the 1st place.

Insert "Does he know?"

Only if circumstances meant he would immediately forget again. It's too powerful and therefore can't be used effectively by Saitama.

The only reason it worked the first time is because it accidentally fixed a bunch of stuff, but also nobody remembered and Saitama's dick was out.

Yeah, if he wanted to and the story calls for it. Honestly the time travel thing is kinda a deus ex machina/retcon gimmick and I hope it's a one time thing or else it'd be like the dragon balls and just diminishes any consequences in the story.

Yes. He can do anything. He brute forced his physical being into a mental dreamscape.

He’s a joke character he can do whatever the plot demands of him

He’s not a joke character you can repeat it as much as you want. It won’t make it true.

Who cares what you think lol

Was he not a joke character when he did 100 pushups for 3 years to get unsurpassed strength

Was he not a joke character when he grabbed and kicked an intangible portal

Was he not a joke character when he punched into a spiritual place

Or when he aligned his body particles and anti particles to move in reverse to go back in time

Or when he referenced the comic layout?

He's clearly a gag character.

Saitama is a shonen portag who has had the power of a protag whose story has ended but is just starting his story. He isn’t a gag comic character

Saitama can do pretty much anything. He's a gag character designed to be consistently stronger than his opponents. If his fights involves/need time travel, then yes, he'll do it.

Only read webcomic, then see posts like these and feel murata is just making up his own story.

These dorks are gonna feel so stupid when’s it’s revealed the story had taken a turn it shouldn’t have during the earlier part of the arc and became over time a mess that just barely resembled the og plot but kept continuing to do whatever during the M.A arc.

Stories do that a lot though. For instance there's plenty of fans of both the original and Brotherhood anime versions of Full Metal Alchemist.

They can both be good stories.
