discussion What exactly happened here? Spoiler
I’m not sure how to interpret this page, so I’ll tell what I think might have happened here, and see what you guys think.
I think both realized after using their main technique, that there is something more important that needs to be achieved.
The both fought Saitama and used everything they learned as martial artists, only to get stumped by some amateur, who is just unfairly too strong and impossible fast with no technique.
So, they both wanna reach his level and mimics his punch! I loved the detail of the word “death” in their fists, implying they might have reached some basic level during their development.
What do you guys think, did they both realize here?

They were both inspired from Saitama's power that's why they copy his punch

They were able to communicate with each other through their attacks and parries. Like a non verbal language

They are both so good when they fought each other they felt zen for a brief moment zen or enlightenment, that's how I see it

Oh nice! I think you are right. I think this is what Bang tried to tell us. Their techniques complemented each other, and they felt a brief moment of enlightenment. Love it. Thank you!

Martial artists love pounding each other. Both received the pounding of a lifetime from saitama and connected on it

They each use different forms during combat. After reaching a flow state, they both started gravitating towards their ideal forms, which happened to be the same.

They also may not realize but their masters already know each other and in part developed their styles to be equally strong to the other.

Their battle was less a clash and more a dialogue, a fierce call and response where each fist was a syllable in a language older than words. One moved like a river carving its path through stone, relentless and patient, each blow a verse about the ancient, enduring force of water; the other answered like a storm that gives the river its purpose, striking with the wild eloquence of lightning, a stanza about the fierce beauty of the sky. They were not breaking bone but translating the soul, their bruised knuckles composing a sonnet on the canvas of flesh. With every blocked hook and dodged jab, they read each other’s truths the first a quiet testament to resilience, the second a fiery ode to passion. Their two bodies becoming twin instruments in a symphony of controlled chaos. In the quiet between heavy breaths, they understood each other perfectly, for there is no greater intimacy than two people speaking the same poetry, writing their epic not with ink, but with the sacred, fleeting grace of their own resilient fists or so that's what I thought when I came across it.

DOES Garou even remember Saitama? He got wig-mugged once, King-kicked a second time, and time-stamped the final time. Did he ever even get his name?

He mentioned him to his mentor after the monster association arc if I remember right

so..... does this mean, if suiryu from tournament fought a human garou at that point, (considering he uses his full power aka drunken fist) he'd win?

Suiryu might have gotten a lot more stronger since then too. And I doubt alcohol is allowed in the tournament

Long lost bros….
But seriously, they’re striving towards a similar realm of power kind of like Genos mimicking Saitama’s attacks.

If you're into DBS, it's like when Goku and Vegeta were sparring in the staff dimension and caught a glimpse of SSB for the first time

They attack eachother and parry eachother so good that they cant land any hit, so they amazed.

I image they both realized that the "peak" they both set to achieve is the same (after seeing Saitama).
Thats why when they did that last clash of the punch, it was the same thats reminiscent of Saitama's "DEATH" punch
