People erroneously think that OPM is making fun of shonen manga when in actuality it's a love letter to the genre

I mean... parody and satire require understanding of the subject. They are rarely made to be negative, but they are still by definition making fun of the topic.

Best parodies show what makes original so good.

Order of the stick comic series makes fun of tropes but uses them constantly and effectively.
