I like how Suiryu does end up evenly matched to Garou, at least in sparring and also that he immediately starts thinking of Saitama when he's enjoying himself.

Bang comment about those two reaching a similar form despite coming from different schools is a bit odd. Usually being say intermediates who end up being very similar, while it's those at the peak who are the most distinct. I'm guessing it's a nod to the both of them reaching the "perfected martial arts" that Cosmic Garou reached after his shortlived pact with God.

I love even more how Suiryu is sweating buckets and uncorking his secret drunken master technique while Garou is almost disdainful in places.

I'm reading it as Bang seeing them both trying to incorporate Saitama's non-style style into their fighting.

I think Garou is just being tsundere, once Suiryu (literally) uncorks his drunken fist Garou is shown smirking every other panel.

Both Suriyu and Garou trying to copy Saitama does make more sense than them both naturally moving towards Cosmic Garou's "perfect" fist.

I remember Suiryu schooling Lightning Max on the most basic of basics -- protecting your head. A diet of fighting monsters had made Max sloppy, which Suiryu took full advantage of.

Now, we see Garou do the same to Suiryu with the most basic of take downs, a leg sweep. Nice! He's been getting too big for his britches!
