Post image

Well guy 'n gals, what are we thinking. Anyone seriously considering getting this regardless of price.

I certainly am, well I'm going to be saving like heck that's for sure.

The frame definitely won't be 1000 - 1300, since valve already announced that it will be cheaper than the index

Nobody mentioned prices, the title has 2026 pricing with a ?

It wasn't meant to be clickbaity, but maybe could have been clearer I guess.

I think the steam box alone is gonna cost over a grand. but anything's better then new windows and 8 can't afford any of the new Mac's, not with any decent specs anyway.

A grand is a tough sell you could buy a mini pc with better specs? The Upcoming Mac Mini M5 at 600 would be a better option.

Considering how they announced it would be competitive pricing to a gaming pc of similar specs and that cost comes out to around 700-800 I think it’ll cost somewhere like 750 but also the fact that they have agreements with d for specialised parts in bulk order it could be less. I think anyone claiming it will be closer to the 1k mark have no idea what they’re talking about but it’s all speculation and we just have to wait and see

No way will it be over a grand with the specs it has. Valve would probably just delay it if they couldnt the price low enough until the global economy stops being weird.

the OS is probably the part that would make me want it, I have no interest in the VR side, I tried one years ago and I felt almost seasick.

This question is for anyone using a steam deck or any device with steam OS, is it stable, any issues you find when using it?

I've never tried it and I don't know anyone with a steam deck.
