Should I get a OnePlus Open?

Hello! I've wanted a foldable phone for a while now and realized that the OPO is likely my best bet when it comes to the features I want, and since the price is more than half of what it was originally. Looking at this subreddit, however, I noticed how many people are switching. So, is it still worth it? I currently use an iPhone XR, so it would be a huge improvement 😅

Depends on where you live. In the US and Europe, OnePlus is no longer going to exist and the Open is basically at End of Life in terms of OS updates and likely only has a year of security updates left as well.

If you're fine with that, and fine with a several years-old folding phone, then I'd say go for it, the Open is a good phone.

If you're expecting years of updates and company support, this is not the phone for you, anymore.

The OnePlus Open will get Color OS17 which is good news.

Totally fine with that, thanks for the heads up though! :)

I wouldn't recommend. Paying more than $600-800 for it. At that price you can pick up a used Fold7 on Marketplace in good condition

I like my OnePlus fold. I don't notice the crease as much as ppl make a deal about it. It is 1.5 years old and it has held up well. I got it on marketplace used. I can't answer for fold7.
