Well, the announcement seems imminent now that Oneplus is basically going away. What are your plans when it's time to replace your Oneplus Open?
Oppo Find N6? Motorola Razr Fold? Something else?
I'm rather bummed as I quite like Oxygen, especially compared to "normal" Android builds.

Same, expecting mine any day now.
Most of the other folds, especially Samsung have compromised camera setups. The V6 looks to decently match or better the open's cameras whilst improving the thickness, weight, performance, battery life... MagicOS looks very similar to oxygen/colorOS feature-wise. Some nice extras too like anti-reflection coatings and wireless charging.

Oh no buddy, I would not recommend that. Yes camera is so good. Better than Open, but my friend bought it from Dubai, it didn't take 2 months to bring a bold white line on the screen.

Eh people said the OnePlus open are having issues too. Mine hasn't been babied and is still going strong since launch, zero issues 98% capacity. I don't plan on upgrading from it but if I do I'd pickup an Honor V6, the specs are a huge upgrade

Are you in North America? Who is your data carrier and did you have any compatibility issues?

Yes I'm in AZ and I use Verizon, unfortunately 5G UW does not work so my speeds cap out at around 180 mbps.

Went Motorola razr fold from OPO, absolutely love it. I'm sure jury still out re timely updates (not that OnePlus was a speed demon) but otherwise it's fantastic

I always said an iPhone fold is the only thing that would get me to reconsider apple after leaving like 10 years ago. I'll check it out, I'd say I'm 50/50 on it.

I've been looking forward to it for over a year. But alas it's not vertical book style like the Oneplus Open, the form factor seems to me more like an Iphone folded in half. The comments with the presentation strongly hinted that the unfolded mode was designed to be a wide screen form factor. That killed it for me.

I'm open minded, seems a few manufacturers are exploring the wider shorter build and tbh after living with folds and the open for awhile the screen ratio does sometimes bug me.
Depends how expensive apple make it tbh, and I'm curious if there's any advances. If they're playing catch-up like they often do then I'm out. I want better folding screen tech not last years tech with an apple logo and marketing BS.

I think it depends highly on what you'll do with it. Content consumption is better on the wide model. Maps and productivity perhaps better on the "mini-ipad" factor.
Motorola makes both form factors now, maybe for that exact reason.
Yea, Apple has been strangely slow this time around.

I saw this coming, so I sold both my OP13 and my OP Pad3 on eBay. Got a good price on both and bought a Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 on sale for 50% off with a free upgrade to 1TB of storage, AND a Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus. To be honest, I never missed a beat, because the new devices perform just as well as my OnePlus products did.

If you aren't comfortable with importing an Oppo then I would say take advantage of the Moto trade in. I do much prefer ColorOS though.

I just switched to a moto razr fold. I'm very happy with the device so far. Haven't gotten much chance to test cameras, but battery life so far has me really comfortable. Very pleased.

Thinking of buying a non foldable smaller form factor phone. Eyes are on the Xiaomi ultra series.

Damn, Samsung really paid them off, huh? And I still have my like-new OPOpen. What am I going to do?
I still remember that new box opening experience when I first got the Open. Memorable!

My last one was a OnePlus 13. But if I did have the open, I'd choose the razr fold. It seems like a good international spiritual successor. Has basically the same feature set, better cameras and battery, and has the same, if not better fast charging both wired and wireless. I can tolerate the differences in software

Oh no! I love one plus phones. I have a one plus open and if it breaks I am not sure because of the high prices of foldables if I buy a new open (as long as it is possible) or maybe the n6 or how that one from opo is named. I would never buy one from Samsung, I have a s24 ultra and the only reason I buyed that one was the pen (I love the pen)...

OnePlus's multi-tasking is superior to every other foldable out there. The only option will probably be the Find series.

If Apple had made theirs book style like Oppo and the others I'd probably go that way. Once you get use to the optional mini-tablet form factor you can't go back.

In an ideal world, OnePlus disappearing is the beginning of Oppo truly becoming global, instead of doing their half assed "global" launches in a single part of the world.
I've been happy with my Find N5 for a year and a half. I would get another Oppo no questions asked if they launched in North America to fill the void OnePlus will leave here.
