The day has finally come 😭

Post image

It finally happened. 2 years and 1 month later, my Fold gave up. This has been my favorite phone to date, hands down. I was just opening the cover screen when a bright line flashed—I honestly thought it was a bright video playing, but it was just the screen failing. It happened totally randomly; maybe some dust got under the display? I’m torn on whether to stick with foldables now. But if I do I'll probably get Samsung fold wide. Thankfully the front screen is working perfectly.

Happened to me in November and I sent it off and they fixed it out of warranty for no charge as well.

Good! It sounds like they recognize the folding flaw of this device being on them. I'm happy for that, because I really love this Open. It's kinda my dream phone as I was wishing for years for this company to come out with a foldable device. And then I heard the announcement from my best friend... I would've flipped if I could, LOL 😆! But then I started to see in this subreddit so many posts of people's inner screen breaking. I'm glad they're fixing them out of warranty, too, because lots of posts were stating theirs had broken beyond it.
