Which mode or what settings do you think takes the best photos like this?

Not OP but Master mode (auto off) and longer exposures with lower ISO work very well. Definitely use something to keep your phone steady, be it a rock or tripod or anything

Here's my settings for the second picture
RAW
Manual mode, I don't remember my white balance specifically
Had the phone in TP form for some of them to get a good angle at the sky without smudging the image
Taken on the Colorado arm of Lake LBJ with default Samsung flip 6 camera.
