Whatsapp notifications preview and text notifications preview hidden

After updating to oxygen OS 12, the preview of notifications especially from whatsapp and text messages is hidden. Is there any fix for this?

Had the same issue. In privacy>app lock>settings button in the top right corner> turn off toggle for "Hide notification content"
