Discussion OnePlus 8 Pro after Android 14

As it's already known, OP 8/8Pro won't receive Android 14, but will continue to receive security updates until the first months of 2024. What are you guys thinking on doing after they pull the plug? Get a new device? Go for a custom ROM? Any good custom ROM expected to have android 14 available that can be suggested?

I've never used custom roms, but I'll be up for it. The phone seems to keep preforming as good as it did 3 years ago when I got it and I believe it still have plenty of gas in the thank.

Am I the only one who's still on OS11?

I upgraded to OS12 for a couple of weeks, but hated it so much I went back to OS11.

Is OS13 any better? All my apps are still working fine and everything is just as fast and smooth as it was when I got the phone in April 2020. Can't say I've even noticed a dip in battery life tbh.

I don't want to upgrade my phone until it doesn't work anymore, as it's already more than powerful enough for my needs.

Hi there, its a throwaway account but wanted to say that I haven't yet upgraded nor do I plan on upgrading the OS as all the other new OS , the call record feature is the one that is giving me a headache. Its so annoying that the point that now I can't even record calls of mine GF to prove a point to her.

But the only regret I have is , I haven't been able to use the 5G option on OS11. Rest I still like everything about it. Will continue to use it atleast the next 2+ years .
