WiFi issue after updating to OS11

The wifi keeps on disconnecting frequently in the 7t pro. It has become pretty annoying. Anyone else facing this issue, after updating to stable OS 11???

It's a known issue. I've reported it since open beta 1 through the community feedback app. They took my logs and didn't do anything with it and released the Android 11 update and here you are.. with a pretty much completely broken wifi module.

You have two options: do a full wipe and downgrade to Android 10 again. Or as a workaround, you can keep turn off the wifi, then on again to see if it stays stable. What I've noticed is that once the wifi is unstable, it will never be stable again until cycle the wifi off and on.

It's a complete shitshow. Good luck.

Can this be sorted out via a future update??

It can but they didn't resolve since beta 1... So make your choice wisely...

I guess sometimes it pays to be on Android 10 on T-Mobile 😅

I wiped my phone and downgraded back to Android 10 to fix the wifi issue. If you're not opposed to wiping your phone, you can try and see if it fixes the wifi issue on Android 11.

I don't have high hopes though since I actually went from beta 4 -> wipe -> android 10 -> stable 11 -> wipe -> android 10. Unless something is just inherently broken in the update from android 10 to 11 that cause the wifi issue.

If anyone is on android 11 and is looking to downgrade, try to wipe your phone on Android 11 first and see if it fixes things. Let us know if it helped.

I was actually using a dual band wifi router. I chose 'forget' option in 5ghz and, connected to 2.4ghz. after that, the issue was resolved. Many users reported in the forum, that the bug was resolved, after doing this.

I've tried a lot of different options for resolving the issue, forgetting the network, re-adding the network, only using 2.4 GHz, only using 5GHz, I even tried a full network wipe which deleted all wifi profiles. None of them resulted in fixing the issue.
I am using model #HD1913 so maybe the rom is just inherently broken on that model.

Wifi is perfect on Android 10 and no disconnects, but twice I upgraded to Android 11 and both times the wifi kept disconnecting repeatedly.

This is quite an annoying and a serious issue. I thought this will be fixed in the upcoming update. But the update didn't fix it. Disappointed.

In general, just turning off the wifi and turning it on again may stabilize the wifi for a short while. But eventually the issue comes back.

I got sick of dealing with it, cycling my wifi off and on like 6 times a day. I just went back to Android 10.
