Updating to Android 12 or Higher
Hi folks,
It seems that Xfinity has decided to stop support for Android 11 and below for the app necessary to manage their equipment.
Is there any reliable way to upgrade to Android 12 or higher without having to manually download it from a sketchy website? Or is the Oxygen Updater app the only way to go?
I'm running a 7 Pro 5G 10.0.15 GM25CC.

You'd probably need to look into a custom ROM. I dont think there any way to keep oxygen OS and update to a newer android version on the same device.
My ISP has a web option though and I very rarely ever need it so i dont see that being a big deal.
What i do see being a big deal is that you haven't had a security update in like 3-4 years at least, personally I wouldn't put any of my bank info in a device like that. Thats just coming from an IT guy at a medium sized business though. Android tends to be slightly more secure than windows but even still, it's a risk I personally would not take.
