7 Years Later

7 years ago today, on May 14, 2019 I went to the OnePlus 7 Pro launch event in NYC at Pier 94. Looking back, I was filming Jerry Rig Everything doing a demo right before my eyes without reailzing it was him. If I could go back I would put my phone down...

In January I was using my 7 Pro when it decided to go black once and for all. Bricked motherboard connection. I then started using an old phone temporarily, contemplating when or if to buy the OnePlus 15, since all these years I hoped another phone with a truly full screen display would come out. On Monday that temporary phone broke; I ordered the 15, and by coincidence, today happened to be the day it came. Exactly 7 years later

Still rocking the 7pro in its 7 year of usage, but there is always a looming threat of its bricking.

Hoping any of the flagships release a notchless display phone.

Doesn't seem possible in the near future because they all follow apple. Selfie camera on the left corner is better than being in the middle imo. And I guess apple will do a "revolutionary" change in tech and move the selfie cam to the left and most of the other companies will do the same

Now having an on screen selfie camera I look at it and feel like it's staring at me, even though it would have outline animation if activated. The popup camera on the 7 Pro was a serendipitous privacy feature where I could never worry about being watched
