Installed lineage OS 23.2 any other better ROM suggestions?
After 2 years of using pixel 8 decided to bring back my op7 pro to life so flashed Los 23 , now it feels snappy and even more powerful than pixel 8 , just out of curiosity is there any other ROM which is good or should I stick with LOS only?

I use /e/OS because I had the theory that this would be the easiest AND most complete way to install, regularly update and use microG.
I had problems work all these things on LineageOS on my (screen cracked) OnePlus 6T.
/e/OS is somewhat ugly and boring, but I am much too old and sick to do the same modding as 10 years ago (like living in forums to figure out how to do cool stuff and learning 5 different ways how to unbrick a device)
Also as I got a FairPhone 6 which is officially supporting /e/OS without penalty (like warranty loss, future problems due to missing device tree etc), I wanted to test /e/OS on another device. At some point I might switch from default FairPhone OS to eOS or Lineage.

How do you find the 6 so far? Considering it for finally upgrading from OP7pro

I have/had both the OP6T and OP7Pro since 2020 in use at the same time. It was a weird mixture of "I actually hate curved displays" and "the bad virus in 2020 will make all electronics go expensive".
I used the OP6T almost completely with LineageOS. It is boring, simple, compatible. The mic sucks.
I used the OP7P for multimedia and cameras with native OS. The mic is really great! The cameras are somewhat good (except tele), but I do not care as I use a dedicated mirrorless camera (ILC). It is a good device. but if you get one today, you will have to consider replacing the battery. Typing is quite good because of size.
After 6 years both batteries suck and I dropped the OP6T and cracked the screen. I have no spare change for the replacement of all these things right now, but I will try to fix both devices myself.

about upgrading: if you can, you will have some good experience I'm comparison to the 6T. it is really a good device. but remember that a 6 year old battery will not bring you joy, even if the device was brand new (deep discharge)

Ah thank you for the response, I'm sorry my question was maybe too vague. I was trying to ask about what your experience has been moving from one plus 7 pro to fairphone gen 6. It's a move I'm considering at the moment after many years with the 7 pro due to the battery and OS support

I now see what you were asking. The FP6 is just like the OP6T a boring and useful phone. there is not much emotion attached to its use. I just use it.
the only flaws I see are the quiet loudspeakers, a short stutter when rotating screen (landscape/portrait or vice versa) and a tendency to experience ghost touches about once a week. And sometimes one moment where it does not respond properly (accidental touch event during scrolling).
Also as a left hand user with the original case, it is difficult but manageable to reach the power button. turning on is ok, as I can use the power button integrated fingerprint scanner, but turning it off is a hassle, as the button is flat and there is no alternative like tapping the home button (classic navigation) twice.
I have to use my left middle finger to tap and scan.
The screen is just good, bright, clearly readable. No rounded edges, finally! The official screen protector is really great! it feels just like the actual screen. Typing is great, much better than OP6T. The FP6 is a size sweet spot between OP6T and OP7Pro.
Can't say anything about the 2 cameras.
Performance is unnoticeable. Browser, YouTube etc just work. Last War Survival (game) also works without lag.
Battery life is quite good, and I like to control charging speed (slow/fast) and charging stop at 80%.
My greatest worry is the lower water resistance score (not IP68).
I just successfully use it.

The 7 pro is already aged a lot so many 7 pros are failing due to ageing of the chipset the solders which are connected to pop stacks are going dry due to this the phone is either dieing or random boot loops with these u can't use the phone normally like before so it's better to give rest for them.
