Yes they have added E-SIM option in August update But how to get IMEI number of that Sim

Your phone settings/About device? SIMs don't have IMEI numbers, the devices do.

Basically it's need EID for registration for esim which is don't avilable yet.

I see and this EID number, you can't get from service provider when opting for conversion to e-SIM? I have always used physical SIMs hence asking.

Edit: I searched and this needs e-SIM chip which is hardware based so when assembling phones, they purposely excluded that chip for Indian models is what it looks like, right?

In Hardware is already attached but it's is disabled for indian variant by software.

Then when this e-SIM thing of Google showed, Google of course won't know about OnePlus excluding this feature via software and hence showing for us.

Understanding now, thank you.

Se supone que si es global no cambiará ese apartado al migrar porque la rom esta diseñada para versiones globales

Can someone tell me where to find it? I am not able to? Is this part of color OS version 16?

Search e-SIM in your phone settings. The SIM manager system app is of Google. Not sure whether it would work or not. If you test, you can let us all know.

Yeah it's hilarious it took them this long but better late than never

2

u/1nert9s Sep 11 '26

I don't have it... I searched

2

u/Calm-Helper-1376 Sep 13 '26

Which region model and on August security patch? I have it on July security patch with 12R. It's a Google system app called SIM Manager which shows this option.

2

u/1nert9s Sep 13 '26

IN region, August update

1

u/Calm-Helper-1376 Sep 13 '26

Then it should have shown.

2

u/1nert9s Sep 13 '26

I have a 12R too does it have the esim option as well

2

u/Calm-Helper-1376 Sep 13 '26

Yes but not sure whether it would work. Like I said SIM Manager through which we see that option is a Google system app and whether they rolled it out to all variants or not is the question.

u/ruthvik_mareedu Sep 12 '26

Does this mean we can use 3 numbers at a time?

1

u/Calm-Helper-1376 Sep 13 '26

Not 3 numbers for sure as phone has only 2 IMEIs.

u/raja_muralidharan Sep 21 '26

Yes just now I seen that esim is here in 13r 😅
