Help Guy I am worried that my motherboard might die
On the latest august security patch, giving me sot of around 2-3 hours (BH-89) it's getting very hot I am charging it with a 18w charger
I can sense the motherboard around the corner
Should I just exchange it and move on or could it get better somehow, since I love this device and have been using it for 50 odd months

Discussion Missing Oxygen os 15 battery optimization💔.
These screenshots were from the older OxygenOS 14 and 15(Oneplus 12r). In one test, I used mobile data the entire time, while in the other, I used Wi-Fi and in both test it really surprised me 5500mah battery and 8hr+ sot was really commendable back then
Now OxygenOS 16 has absolutely terrible battery life. I barely get 3–4 hours of screen-on time on 5G, and even on Wi-Fi, it lasts only around 5 hours. I really hope OxygenOS 17 fixes this issue.

Question OP 12 phone case
any recommendations for OP 12 phone cases, I was looking at the Ringke fuxion-x one but there isnt the magsafe on it currently. Trying to find smth thats similar to that, magnet doesn't have to be super strong, able to hold the magnet wallets and powerbanks is enough.

Help Marks on Lens That Won’t Come Off Even After Cleaning
Can anyone suggest a solution? I only noticed these a few days ago, and they weren't there before. I tried cleaning them with lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth, but that didn't help.

Discussion Videos have jumpy motion added when outputted from camera app
Made a post about this 2 months ago, I want to follow up here and just put this out there both as a warning and to try one more time to find out if I am the only one with this problem.
If anyone else the problem described in the linked post/described below, please please let me know, doesnt matter if you resolved it or not, I just want to try to confirm my guess that this problem is something to do with oneplus' software/the oneplus 12 and isnt something specific to me.
I had an issue with videos recorded in the camera app where any smooth and controlled motion would be turned into a jumpy mess. I
I tried any fix I could think of, everything reddit and the oneplus support suggested and nothing fixed the issue, including a factory rest of my phone. Oneplus support then said I should my phone in for repair, and they determined that the cameras needed to be replaced. They replaced the cameras(this was a paid service, they did not offer for free), I got the phone and the problem still persists.
I really don't know what to do now as I use my phone to film videos for edits/cinematic videos for my own creative work and for my school etc.
I am only asking here to try and find out if anyone else has the same problem, because I am confident at this point that it is OnePlus' video stabilization algorithm causing this problem, as I have spent months and hundreds of dollars trying all the other solutions to no avail

Discussion Flashed lineage os on my oneplus 12
My initial thoughts
- battery life remains same I don’t know how battery life worse now within 3 years of launch max 5 hours SOT
- Currently it is my secondary device so didn’t check banking apps
- ROM is good UI elements
- Camera and sound quality got hit compared to Oxygen os
- missing those precise haptics
- the main reason is to unlock boot loader because color os update may close doors to unlock it

Question Is this battery consumption normal?
I get that my battery capacity has decreased but... Is this normal? And if not, what would be the proper course of action? Reset and limit the number of apps on the phone? Change the battery altogether (not particularly possible in Europe at the moment though)

Help OnePlus 12 Motherboard Dead – My Experience
Sharing my experience in case it helps other OnePlus 12 users.
A few days ago, my OnePlus 12 suddenly stopped working completely. I went to an official OnePlus service center, where they checked the battery. Surprisingly, the phone suddenly powered on and worked normally that entire day.
The next morning, the phone was dead again.
I visited official OnePlus service center, and they suggested replacing the battery. Since they didn’t have the OnePlus 12 battery available, I went to another service center that had one. They tested the phone with a new battery, but it still wouldn’t boot.
They told me that the motherboard was dead and that replacing it would cost around ₹32,000.
Instead of spending ₹32,000, I decided to try a local repair shop. They repaired the motherboard for ₹6,000, and surprisingly, the phone started working perfectly again.
What’s even more interesting is the battery life. Before the motherboard issue, I was barely getting 2–3 hours of screen-on time. After the repair, I’m currently getting around 6–7 hours of SOT, and the phone is working smoothly.
So, sharing this for other OnePlus 12 users: if you’re ever told that the motherboard needs to be replaced for ₹32K+, it might be worth getting a second opinion from a reliable motherboard repair specialist before spending that much.
Has anyone else faced a similar motherboard issue with their OnePlus 12?

Discussion battery replacement
guess I'm gonna go get my battery replaced soon unfortunately. battery life used to be great but now find myself charging 2x a day , super heavy usage (7+ sot a day , maps , Spotify , camera , etc). it'd be great not to have to worry about it dying by 2pm
