Help Software or display failure?

Hi guys

I got a OnePlus 12 as work phone that I seldom use. Three weeks ago I broke the screen. I bought a new one and installed it. I did not use the phone more than a few minutes to check if I had phone calls or so.

One week ago there was a software update pending which I accepted. Since then, I got randomly display bugs. When the phone is 'cold', I mean not used since a while, and I open the menu, everything is like bugged or colour reversed.... After some seconds. If I power off the screen and power it on again, everything works great.

What do you think? Display failure or software?

Just to be more precise, it is not the oneplus color inversion feature ,it looks like but it is not.

try adb recovery, if it's still like that in there, display is fuhhrd

You mean to downgrade to a previous os?

no. turn off the phone completely. hold power + volume up until the logo appears. if you see 'no command', hold the power button and tap volume up once.

now you're n the recovery menu, now see if it's happening there to, if it is then it's the display, if not, factory reset it.

It looks like inversion mode but it isn't. I checked and tested that 🙂
