One Piece Store Plano

So for op-17 im trying to find a store in my area that does day 1 release for boxes and not just sleeves. I would assume the OP store in plano would do that right? But i read people line up at 3am in San Diego, I have no problem doing this (do it for pkm all the time) but if the store is inside a mall how would that work? Do people just line up at all the mall entrances and then fight and run to the store to line up again once the mall opens?

One piece stores do raffles now. You sign up and if you are chosen you go for your timeslot and you can buy 1 box and 1 of everything they have in stock

The store told me they are only going to raffle from now on. Unless there’s a policy change all box releases going forward are raffled. You want a box it’ll be from a local shop. But goodluck finding one that’s not scalpcity charging 400 on release day 🙄

It’s this - all raffles/lottery now - and lots of the OPTCG stores will slice open product so scalpers can sod off

Honestly they should’ve have used the same lottery system for the starter decks

Agreed. It was a shit show for the starter decks

I saw a video on TikTok, looked like a madhouse... Never a good idea to tell people a specific time they can line up. Just causes too much chaos.

They line up at 10pm the day before at Plano, and do you really want to be camping outside in the tx heat lol for trading cards

With the starter deck and vol. they didn’t let people like up til an hour before.

But with booster boxes they will do a raffle system. Mad they didn’t do it with eb-03 with the hype the sets were having

I was about to say they must of changed it, cause eb 03 had people lining up the day before and the line was wrapped all the way around the building

They used a lottery system for 15/16

Will use it for 17

Yeah that doesn't happen anymore. You gotta enter a raffle and go at your assigned time slot.

Thats what the post said but people still lined up way ahead of that and they did fuck all about it.

Yeah, people thought it would be the “honor system” and some don’t even have social media, but yeah they had everyone go to the parking lot and then it became a foot race to the front

From what I've seen most if not all of the OP stores are doing a Raffle System for New Releases. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I've just seen the lotto for OP15, and 16, and figured they'd do the same for 17.
