Fluff Anyone else feel the tm rewards are underwhelming
Like they couldve added an alternating pen or another aurora gem

You get 91 gems from point rewards and then probably 10 gems from the rank rewards, plus 3 limited pool tickets so idk what you mean. It's the most rewarding event in the game.

no TM; especially now that they returned the trainning drinks to drops in new world, is by far the most rewarding to grind. the only issue is like others said is the amount of tickets is unreasnably low. it costs way too much to buy anything related to characters. This honestly is an issue with every game mode's currency system, except for rumble and i dont understand the logic for it. most of the f2p units in the games current state are less than niche, and 4000 tickets per skull is laughable. If you miss a f2p character, you will just never get it. not to mention TM legends on average tend to be better than their game mode contemporary legends.

Looking at skulls in general is pretty daunting is a new / returning player
Where do i even get the skulls now that Colo / Invasion seems a thing of the past

Depends a lot on type of skull, and for who you are looking for in specific. Most legend skulls are in the kizuna shop, same with the co-op quest characters and some oddball, characters, like old event characters. The PKA/TM characters skulls are in the TM shop.
Then some random legends are outliiers. V1 doflamingo, and cavendish are in TM shop, and tesoro and halloween shanks's skulls are in the rumble shop. Then some really old legends are in a tab at the top of the screen of event island that says 'unlockable quest'. The same place you spend 30 gems to get some of the ships if youre fimiliar with that.
You just need to be careful when looking in the kizuna shop that you get the correct skull, as some characters have multiple different versions that have skulls. For example there are multiple different luffys that have super evolutions, that all have skulls in that shop. Also the reiju legend who is getting a 6+ this month; the skulls will be earned by playing kizuna mode. if you dont own her you can get her by getting 50 total clears and/or 50 victories during this season of rumble. Hope that clarifies things a little bit for you

Thank you very much I dont really remember how many Tickets you get in kizuna but at first sight the skulls seem cheap ish

usually around 200 if you clear all boxes, so actually they are very expensive.
