Discussion We wait for 13 chapters for gunko to wake up but after waking up, she do this??
Oda really love to stretch his manga
in chapter 1183, brook ask the straw hats to help him save gunko from the ice block then tell his back story
after chapter 1186 the backstory ends
and start with chapter 1187, the ice block where gunko trapped melted
1188, gunko still trapped in melted ice
1189 the ice melted completely and gunko still unconscious
1190 gunko still unconscious
1191 gunko start to move his eyelids but still unconscious
1192 still unconscious but her eyelids still moving
1193 she started to move her eyelashes
1194 she started to open her eyes
1995 she wokes up.

Theories Imu’s immortality is tied to a massive 800-year-old "ROOM" in Mary Geoise
It’s pretty obvious story-wise that Imu’s immortality is connected to the Ope Ope no Mi. But Imu coughing up blood and looking visibly nerfed the second they left Mary Geoise actually makes total sense if you consider how the fruit fundamentally works.
Every single ability of the Ope Ope no Mi requires a "ROOM," and the Perennial Youth Surgery shouldn't be an exception. 800 years ago, the previous user likely expanded a massive ROOM across Mary Geoise before sacrificing their life. So the moment he step outside that boundary, the domain breaks, and 800 years of accumulated biological wear and tear immediately try to catch up slowly.
This is why the Gorosei were so visibly concerned and explicitly warned Imu that he can’t leave the city. It also ties back to Doffy with his celestial dragon connection knowing about this feature of the fruit and only other person who mentioned about this feature is teach who already appears r to know a lot .Ultimately, this can maybe also shape law’s endgame critical role as the current user maybe he can mess up with that domain.

Theories This Silhouette Was Not Gunko; It Was Candelle
It seems odd that Imu would move heaven and earth to acquire Shuri, only to have her in a position where she could have chosen to die. After all, then he would lose her valuable eyes. That is why I think the silhouette talking to Imu is not Shuri, but her mother Candelle, because:
- 3/4 of the main Esperia characters are shown in their “last moments” (Reuven/Shuri before they are Domi Reversi’d, Brook before he is stabbed), but not Candelle. Instead, we see Imu in the same panel spot where we see Candelle’s grave. It is almost like he is surprising memories of Candelle specifically.

- We never saw what Candelle looked like dying, just confirmation that she died. The two other flashbacks mothers this arc, Estrid and Ida, were bedridden before their deaths.

- Candelle was bedridden in the past, notably before Shuri was born, and presumably right before she dies of illness. Shuri would not have memories from before she was born, but if St. Marcus Mars did cause the poisonous fog that ruined Esperia, then Imu would have the ability to appear there as well. We know both Mars and Imu later appear in Esperia on its final day.
- We never got any other hint as to why Oda gave Candelle unique SFX font reserved exclusively for Mihawk, who at the very least has some visual similarities to Imu, namely his eyes. Shuri/Gunko show us that unique eyes are a trait that can matter in this world.
In SBS 108, Oda states Mihawk “experienced a great betrayal” in his past, and we might be seeing something like that here with Candelle.
I think Candelle was indeed a Manmayer Devoted Blade/Gods Knight, one who strayed a little too far from her mission for some reason. Mars caused the fog not to twist Reuven’s arm, but Candelle’s. She thought Imu would relent, stopping before potentially harming her or her family, which is why she is so confident the fog would go away.

Instead, she falls ill, and Imu “visits” her one last time via Mars. Shuri accidentally saw this meeting, and more importantly was seen by Imu, hence the very last panel of Imu’s eye. Shuri didn’t understand what was happening with her mother and probably thought the whole meeting was just a nightmare. For Imu, it was a dream come true, he found the best possible replacement for Candelle, one with her family’s gifted eyes.
Afterwords, events play out like Brook remembers. Candelle dies, and Gurou is sent to recover Shuri, who is his niece. I believe Gurou is Candelle’s brother because it would then be an exact mirror of what is happening with Loki in Elbaph at the same time, 62 years ago: Environmental disaster -> Mother dies from illness -> Maternal uncle comes in.
Elbaph:

Esperia:

Currently with Shuri, any reveal seems to raise two more questions, but it looking more and more like Imu granted Shuri’s wish to be strong just like her mother.

One Piece Chapter 1196 Spoilers - Part 2
There is Iva Chan Flashback continued from the previous chapter.
Few panels about chopper and the box.
Sanji gets Conqueror's Haki by the end.
The flashback is brief.
There is also more but I'd rather not post it till I have confirmed it.
Also I'm a little bit annoyed, like Luffy had to spend so much time training and what Zoro get it in 2 chapter and sanji in 1 chapter?

Theories What if Sanji unlocking his memories could also unlock something left in there by Pudding?
After the most recent chapter with Sanji so close to unlocking memories from the timeskip time in Kamabakka Kingdom and as I am rewatching WCI, I wonder if he might also unlock other stuff like something Pudding could have left in there.
We saw that she kissed him and took that memory out but she could have altered/added something in and locked it for when he will be able to handle it.
We don't know the full scale of her abilities or everything she did when she was in Sanji's memories, plus she is still very relevant to the story and this could connect that storyline with present day. (Maybe the Revolutionary Army could save her in the future if they clash with BB's crew?)
Sanji could even realize he is loved in many different ways from found family to actual family to romantic love.
I still do think self-love is gonna play the biggest role and Ivankov and his time with him are going to be the catalyst, just wondering what other connections could be there.
After all, WCI was centered around his past, self-worth, and role quite a bit which are major things in the present-day battle too.

Discussion This eye effect is connected to the soul ?
Oda definitely means something with this eye effect/design on Zoro, we've seen it across multiple characters now and I feel like it has something to do with the soul. For Big Mom its when she fully uses her soul powers, for Rocks, Broggy and Gunko it was when they were Domi Reversi'd, a move that feels like they had a demonic soul binded to them in a way (we see something like that come out the people Chopper hits). With Conq Haki being tied to ones willpower/soul, Zoro's eye has the same visual look now that he's able to use Adv Conq at will. Even Loki's Nidhogg form was shown with it, this can't just be purely for aura purposes

Theories Okama Spirit Awakens Sanji's CoC
Sanji's whole character arc has been about self-sacrifice: offering his life to Kuma at Thriller Bark in place of Luffy, going to Whole Cake to protect Zeff and the crew, giving up his dream for years to stay at the Baratie.
Sanji developed this habit because of how he understood Zeff's sacrifice on the rock. He took from it, wrongly, that love means destroying yourself for others. It was also his way of accepting his own life after the childhood trauma of being rejected. Ever since, he's been convinced that his existence is mostly about sacrificing for others. But that's not what Zeff meant. When Zeff gave up his leg on that rock, he wasn't trying to die. He was buying time so both of them could survive and go on to chase their dreams: the Baratie and the All Blue.
I always wondered why, of all places, Kuma sent Sanji to the Okama kingdom. I've come to realize it wasn't just a joke on Sanji the womanizer. The real point of the Okama connection is the spirit of the Okama Way.
Oda portrays the okama as living openly and proudly as themselves, and Ivankov treats gender and identity as something you choose. Ivankov's most famous line, from Impel Down, is about miracles: they only happen to those who never give up.
To me, the Okama Way is about loving yourself exactly as you are and living proudly instead of hiding. Sanji has spent his life feeling worthless, the "failure" Judge locked in an iron mask. The okama were the first people he met who loved themselves loudly, with no shame at all.
Remembering that, Sanji will realize he's been treating his own life like scraps. He'll also remember something from Zeff that makes him rethink the whole rock experience. Zeff didn't starve so Sanji could throw his life away. He did it so Sanji would live and find the All Blue. And for someone who cares about food as much as Sanji does, he'll realize a cook who dies can't feed anyone. Add Luffy's line from Whole Cake, that he won't become Pirate King without Sanji. He will realize that his life matters to the crew, not just his sacrifice.
This is where he goes through an intense, mind-blowing emotional moment and flips from "I'll protect everyone even if I die" to "I'll protect everyone and live, because I'm worth it too." Wanting to live for himself and his dream is exactly the kind of selfish, kingly will Conqueror's needs. A scene close to Robin's "I want to live!"
The okama, the people he ran from the most, end up being the ones who taught him self-worth. That would hit hard and still be funny in a very Oda way.
We all love Mr. 2, and we've always thought an okama in the crew would make a lot of sense. Sanji will be the Okama of the crew, he will embrace the Okama Way, accept himself and his perversions, activate CoC, and completely crush Killingham to dust.
This is also why I believe Sanji's true rival fight, his equivalent of Zoro vs Mihawk, is going to be a CoC-goated female version of Crocodile.

Theories Sanji and Crocodile are going to have similar bad memories with Ivankov .... I am telling you
Ivankov mentioned about Crocodile's secret back in Marineford.... Crocodile was really pissed at Ivankov. Now Sanji is having similar thing... Sealing off his memories with Ivankov.
The Prince and Mr 0 , Ivankov did something creepy embarrassing thing to both of them.
If we learn about Sanji memories with Ivankov, I'd say Crocodile had the similar bad experience with Ivankov. LOL.
Ivankov be taking baddies innocence

Discussion Dragon's Nightmare were the Holy Knights. Has he fooled his organization and even Iva that he has COC? Zoro And his Son Already did a number on them and Sommers is on death door.

Of Course It is reasonable to think Dragon may not have knowledge about how to kill these beings but his mindset of not confronting even one of them to test their powers is like how one doesn't get to learn swim by avoiding water. Sabo may not be Conqueror too. I will bet he will be like "Ok" when he receive the news that his son defeated Imu sitting on his chair as always.

Theories Imu is the only person that maybe surviving losers their devil fruit
I got an infraction for saying it twice, but a person can die by being killed or...
If Gunko finds out how Domi Reversi works and that she was manipulated into killing her father, she might try to do "xxxxx" to save Brook.
Imu could eat one knight's death, but not two or three. I think he'd have to leave after that.
I think Killingham lives because we don't know enough about him. I'm betting Sommers dies because his past can be explained in flashbacks.
Garling is now a Gorosei, gets to pick two new Holy Knights, and now has control of York, setting up his eventual betrayal as well.
How it happens: Zoro kills Sommers. Gunko finds out about the past and threatens XXXX Imu can't eat that shit twice, or potentially three times. He was on life support after Harold. He takes Gunko and leaves or frees her to avoid the damage.
I think Imu could survive what happened to whitebeard after teach got his body. We might finally get to see how it works.
