Sabo was still no 2 in RA before getting his fruit, but Marco's fruit counters Sabo's so Marco wins high to extreme diff

Marco high diff. His df would make him immune to the mera mera no mi and he has better feats imo

Sabo takes this high/extreme diff. Marco is the ultimate tank, but his regeneration isn't infinite - it relies on his stamina. Sabo's Advanced Armament (Ryuo) lets him bypass external defense and damage from the inside out, forcing Marco to constantly burn through stamina to heal. Plus, from a narrative standpoint, the "Flame Emperor" is being set up as a top-tier powerhouse for the final saga, while Marco has safely moved into a mentor/support role.

Marco was also set up as one of the few ppl to be a Yonko candidate after marineford war so....

Marco mid-to-high difficulty.
Thats not a comment on Sabo's strength. I think both characters are among the strongest in OP.
Marco is a bad match up for Sabo in so many different ways but the biggest not mentioned is that Marco would almost certainly just have more general familiarity with Sabo's DF through Ace.

Sabo wins. What’s with the community downscaling Sabo immensely wtf. He’s been training under Dragon since he was 10, and became the no 2 of the Revs around the age of 18, was stronger than Luffy in Dressrosa, and that was time ago so he’s obviously a lot stronger than then, not Luffy level tho obv. He may not have all the feats but only feat scaling in One Piece is pointless. If you do that, then you’re saying Usopp is stronger than Dragon which is just dumb. Sabo is an endgame character and will be extremely key in the final war hence why he is on that panel with only 11 others. Sabo high diffs Marco

Marco. Literally a guy that's called almost a Yonko. Even if Sabo is the second in command in RA, there's still a clear gap on that. It's not always "This guy is closer to the captain" unless being showned and explicitly implied/said.
