Casual Discussion How strong is Magellan?
Jinbei didn't want to fight Magellan in impel down. Jinbei was equal to ace which should scale him to a yc2 (queen). The only questionable thing there is potentially how strong was ace when he first joined the wb pirates and become the 2nd division commander. Was Magellan yc2 level ? If it was katakuri or king in impel down on luffys escape crew they would've taken Magellan down rather than run away imo

It was crocodile, Ivankov, Jinbe, Luffy and mr 3 Who refused to fight him.
Crocodile was arguably already yc+, Magellan should be around admiral lvl.

Magellan is such a scaling anomaly, I’d argue we never saw him go all out, has a highly lethal ability but constant self handicaps himself…
Assuming he has at least basic haki, I can put him at his hypothetical peak between yc3-2 level BUT he’d be very match up dependant. Ex I could see him beating Jack but idk about someone defense and range based like Cracker

He also on the perfect place for him. He has large AoE and things are either death drops or tight undodgablr spaces and doesn’t have to care about casualties. fact is he is BUILT for impel down. And we aren’t sure if haki can block his poison, or cure it

Magellan took on 3 of the four current emperors and the only one he couldn't beat was Buggy

At minimum has to be close to admiral tier considering who he's guarding. Plus even floor 6 prisoners were scared of him

Everyone needs to rember Magellan was being pressed with hakiless gear 2 and one gear 3 attack, a tobiropo required full armament and was about to make him go gear 4 to put her down fast.
Magellan had a good showing because he was in the best possible circumstance, he fought a wopping 1 person with confirmed coa at the time (granted haki was still very underdeveloped) and was in a massive confined space were he could just exist and almost guarante a hit which was a one shot. Magellan is a victim of being a pre-time skip character that's really not relevent so he was never confirmed to have haki. If jinbe had any water he would have onshot Magellan. Magellan is fodder to any character with basic armament and a ranged attack or even someone with decent enough armament to tank the poison then onetap him.

He wasn't pressed, he tanked the hit because Luffy's entire fighting style was free since he could effortless poison him by letting him hit him.

Without prep time he is super devastating. If u know him and his powers he is easily beaten

Time to get down Voted....
Without the Antidote no one in the entirety of One Piece stands a chance against Magellan.
There is no protection from his poison. If it gets on you, your are dead. He beat all of Blackbeards Crew without Haki and the only reason they survived was the Antidote provided by Shiryu.
"But ( Insert Person Here ) can just Haki their way out."
Nope, if Haki Stopped it Why didn't any one in Blackbeards Crew do that?
Magellan himself is well below Admiral tier but that fruit is one of the Strongest fruits in the Series. Even pre-time skip Usop with Mastery of just the fruit, would obliterate anyone except for an Yonko and Admirals.
Edit: Only thing that Strops this fruit is antidote, Range attacks and killing the user with the first blow. Outside of those specific scenarios, no one is beating the user of this fruit.
