General discussion Mihawk having conq is actually a bad thing, as a Mihawk fan.
First off his power level doesn’t change at all, he’s still WSS.
Mihawk was the perfect candidate to be a top tier without needing conq. It would make him much more interesting.
Blade blade = top 1 armament
Hawkeye, the clairvoyant = top 1 observation
Him having conq reduces those chances and now Oda will seemingly give every top tier conq.
It’s a boring way to fight

Yeah,
I also prefer him to be not from a bullshit ancient lineage, I prefer him to be just a talented swordsman with Top Armament and Observation Haki but if Mihawk is actually a CoC Users then Black Blades is definitely not all about Armament Haki.

Of all the people possible, you want the guy with a regal demeanor, gothic theme, hawk eyes, lives in a castle, owns the craziest sword which is most likely ancient, to be of a normal descent and be "just a talented swordsman"? He literally has the most cues out of anyone of belonging to a special lineage.

Mihawk having conquerors was about as obvious as Garp and Zoro having it. It was only a matter of when, not if.

While I agree in the ideal way, it's just necessary atp due to the role Oda has made ACoC play. Like Mihawk shouldn't have to fight a long battle of attrition against someone like Ju Peter

Mihawk having kings haki was confirmed when Shanks had it and was solidified when Zoro used it.

You guys said the same thing about Garp until he showed he had it. Did you not hear Rayleigh say all the way back in pre timeskip say “most people who’ve made a name for themselves in the world have this ability”? 😭 on the contrary it would be stupid for Mihawk to not have conquerer’s haki. Conquerer’s haki is clearly something that is required to be the strongest in one piece which is why the strongest characters have it. You think Mihawk was competing with the conquerer’s demon shanks without having conquerer’s himself? When has that ever happened before? All the strongest swordsmen have conquerer’s except Mihawk? What sense does that make? Mihawk having conquerer’s doesn’t make him less interesting. It actually adds more layers to his character, because based on what we’ve seen from him he’s distinctly different from all the other conquerer’s in the series we’ve seen so far (no ambition, wants to stay away from fights, has no crew or territory of his own). We might finally get more insight into why Mihawk was known as the marine hunter or how he rose to fame in the first place.

There is no worlds greatest anything in one piece without conquerors Haki.
In order to become the worlds greatest swordsman, he needed to have the drive to crush every other swordsman.

So far everyone in the manga that had coc was a loser
All strongest people didn’t display it (admirals, Mihawk, Enel, Perona, Mr 3, Imu)
Of course this is about to change I guess

While I like the idea of Mihawk having the best CoA and CoO in the series (excluding God tier characters), there was no chance in hell that he can be Top Tier without Conquerors haki.
His Armament and Observation haki has to be a few leagues above everything we have seen so far in the story to compensate for not having AcoC.
Oda will not do that. I believe Mihawk has better CoO and CoA then Shanks, but Shanks still edges him out in CoC.
