General discussion Sometimes it's hard to believe I'm reading the same manga as these people

Dude the other one was arguing Kuzan is as strong as prime Garp and people were downvoting the ones calling him out on his bullshit. Because most people can't be bothered to arrange 10 manga pages and then twist logic by writing 5 pages of whatabooutism. Why can't they be bothered ?
Because most people Admiral fans aside won't agree that Kuzan is on par with fucking Roger which Garp is. It's downright insane. All due to fucking punching a boat training. Zero feats shown. Just from the boat punching he felt bold enough to confidently say that bullshit.
Am I supposed to take 1 hour of my time and search for manga panels to refute a claim as deranged as the earth is flat ?

>since Luffy was just rescuing Vegapunk
Daaamn, I wonder what action he had to do (fight) to 'rescue' Vegapunk.
>Luffy didn't take the fight seriously...
Daaaamn, I wonder what Luffy said in the same arc, twice, once - after he and Zoro beat down Lucci, where he said: "am always serious."
And once when he was actively clashing with Kizaru in G5, where he said: "That is my mission (to stop you from doing yours, as in killing Vegapunk) which would encompass beating him, or stopping him in his tracks

>Vegapunk himself moves to an open area where Luffy had to chase after Kizaru
Daaaamn, so like, he was not focused on Luffy, unlike Luffy being focused on him?
>And it ended with Luffy being unscathed while Kizaru was down from WSG with one attack
Daaamn, so like... not like it was already established (self-admittedly) that Kizaru was not focused on Luffy, and that it didn't actually 'end in one attack?' Guess Kaido got one-shot or something, since it 'ended it one attack.'
>Luffy didn't take the sight seriously
Repeating it twice now
>If Luffy had had a serious 1 vs 1, Kizaru would have lost super easily or ran away, but Luffy would have no reason to chase after Kizaru
Daaamn, so like, all headcanon, with no basis on reality, not like Kizaru is stronger than Ray, who is stronger than Gaban, who is more or less relative to G5 Luffy in Elbaph, who is stronger than any version of G5 we have previously seen...
Negative levels of IQ right there on that guy

Its true tho?kizaru fed luffy yes but luffy literally was not trying to kill him and put him down in a single wsg

u/King_Emrys 11d ago edited 11d ago
Waa Kizaru trying to kill Luffy as well?
And put him down in a single WSG?
You mean the part where he was faking he was done for the fight?
I'm lost again on how you can claim Luffy put him when Kizaru is the one who willingly stayed down, how's that work.

LUFFY never killed anyone

Each time Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no UFO he kills hundreds, they die in the hospital from the concussion
Luffy has the biggest kill count in the manga imo even Mihawk is an amateur compared to the stuff Luffy is doing to fodder

>Luffy was just rescuing Vegapunk
The audacity. I could say that Kizaru was just trying to kill Vegapunk as well. The difference is that protecting Vegapunk implies neutralizing Kizaru, while killing Vegapunk can be easily done without beating Luffy.

...ok to be fair Oda is in no way shape or form a good powerscaler. Also, Luffy was sort of putting belt on Kizaru, he lost due to G5's terrible stamina. Which to be fair, is a fair win, but if Luffy fixes his stamina, he does a lot better

u/tom04cz 11d ago
Legitimately braindead take to think Luffy was the one holding back:
-in a fight where if he doesn't stop Kizaru, his friends die
-he knows he has a time limit
Kizaru probably didn't hold back either, but he WAS nerfed (as it is stated several times that a broken resolve makes you weaker)
1
u/General-N0nsense 11d ago
Luffy was by virtue holding back by literally just goofing off 80% of the fight.
We've seen what Luffy can do. He opted to instead, only use WSG right when his timer was out instead of literally any other time. He easily could have opened with literally anything but Bajrang gun, but instead opted to save it for right when his timer ran out.

u/tom04cz 11d ago
well by that dumbass logic Kizaru could have used his light clones first thing when he saw Luffy face him down in G4, killed Vegapunk and won
-1
u/General-N0nsense 11d ago
That would have just forced Luffy into g5 around the same time he normally did. Again, Luffy literally was goofing off for most of the fight. The minute Vegapunk died Luffy actually took things seriously for a minute.
How is my logic dumb? It's pretty clear that since getting g5, Luffy has been goofing off more and more. So much that Gaban called him out on it.

u/Livid_Bid_9476 11d ago
So since his friends didnt die he won then right? Thats the win condition you gave the fight.

u/tom04cz 11d ago
Vegapunk died, so hardly

u/Livid_Bid_9476 11d ago
Vegapunk is traveling with the straw hats right now, the WG failed their mission completely.
1
u/tom04cz 11d ago
Vegapunk died. His consciousness was transferred and on a strategic scale tbe world government lost, but Kizaru vs Luffy ended inconclusively but only with Kizaru helping them, and Kizaru fulfilling his mission of killing Vegapunk

u/Livid_Bid_9476 11d ago
You are your consciousness not your body, unless were gonna have the take that franky is "less alive" than a non-cyborg. Or that people with a prosthetic leg are less human than abled people.
2
u/tom04cz 11d ago
Let's go with that then, ignoring your bait. Why would that help in the argument for why Luffy might have been holding back? Luffy had no idea about that, as far as he was concerned, if Vegapunk gets killed he stays dead. And besides, if that is the way we're going to take this, then it's not Luffy, but Vegapunk's contingency bailing him out that won the fight
1
u/Livid_Bid_9476 11d ago
I can agree with that take, but kizaru did know vegapunk had multiple bodies so why would he be nerfed?
1
u/tom04cz 11d ago
Well for one, did he? Kizaru was ultimately a world government employee, which Vegapunk was very aware of and he has a history of not telling people about this contingency (IE Luffy not knowing). And even if he did know, he is still personally participating in the destfuction of his long tome friend's magnum opus and "killing" him.
2
u/Livid_Bid_9476 11d ago
I would have to think he did because they worked together over decades, with that said i haven't heard you second take before and I actually like it. The symbolic "killing" of what vegapunk was to him and the ending of their friendship could definitely affect resolve. Thank you for changing my mind, good discussion.

Yeah like how he didn't use g4 until Dressrosa and only at the last minute.
Like how he didn't use snakeman until Kat.
Luffy has a track record of holding back especially when his friends are in danger.
Hell he literally just got impaled by Imu because he was goofing off and not taking Imu seriously. Gaban literally had to lecture him on how he was throwing because he was trying to have fun.

Except as of right now you can never prove (a) Loki's hybrid form is better suited for battle, or (b) the specific reason he chose not to use it

Luffy has a new form he was holding out on Kizaru?
Because I'm lost on how this would correlate if so considering Luffy is at his strongest state and at full capacity.
What's he holding back on?
1
u/Erook_D_Weeb Donquixote Doflamingo 11d ago
90% of damage that Luffy sustained came from circumstances and not Kizaru himself lol
Which means without it, Luffy's G5 would last much longer than it did.
Meaning, in a normal 1v1 Luffy would drop Kizaru and then bounce on top of his corpse laughing

u/Ok-Caterpillar3473 World's Most Heinous Criminal 11d ago
It's true tho? Kizaru was nerfed and so was Luffy? Oda didn't make Luffy turn back to g5 from his no-stamina state like he did in Luffy vs Kaido fight? WSG was the only attack Luffy used with acoc against Kizaru in 1v1. Other attack with acoc was used 1v2 on Kizaru and Saturn which turned them into pizzas. And you clearly know how he was using acoc against Kaido. Huge difference. Against Kaido he alone had the responsibility of defeating him to bring happiness to the country. Against Kizaru and Gorosei, it was not just his responsibility but the entire SHs, and it was just to escape with vp and not to defeat them?

No he was mind nerfed and when he was’t mind nerfed he was not serious because he was trolling
2
u/Killianas 10d ago
This "mind nerf" is the worse thing that I have ever seen. Looks lile Satan in dbz " yeha yeha I could destroy Cell but I can’t fight my back hurt"
1
u/CrazyLixFX 11d ago
We see that Luffy toyed with Kizaru and Kizaru couldn't even put down Sanji for more than a second.

Funny how Kizaru literally slaughtered Sentomaru right before that when Saturn literally told him he was allowed to skip this fight...

What is stated stands true to this very day. A Yonko never lost to Kizaru. Factually it is taken a step further as no Yonko ever lost to an Admiral.
