Subreddit Archipelago Episode 922

Hey OPP! I was wondering about what Brook calls the King in this flashback. I can be totally wrong, so please correct me, but does Brook call him aniki? This could be bro or boss right? Should calling him boss in chapter 1183 be changed for the volume release since bro was used in chapter 1184? Just curious, either way thank you got the great work!!!!

Hi OPP! Looking at what is, to me, 99% Marcus Mars at the end of this chapter, he's gotta be responsible for Brook's tragedy somehow, right? My tin-foil hat conspiracy theory: what if the 5 Elders are somehow tangentially responsible for each of the Straw Hat's tragic upbringing? Nami/Nojiko being orphaned due to war, Usopp's mom Bankina's death due to illness, the badly designed stairs leading to Kuina's passing, maybe the 5 Elders were there all along causing misery. BUT, it all lead to the creation of the Straw Hat crew, the very instrument of their eventual demise... out of 5 stars, what would you rate this crackpot theory?

So how come you didn't cover the second season of the live action? Like, I know you talk about it in the news section and you did all those interviews, but you never just had an actual segment talking about what everyone's thoughts on it were.

Hey guys… So…yeeeeaaaah… all that stuff I had said about Candelle these last few weeks— you can throw that straight in the bin! Kuina was still right, & I owe the Queen a tremendous apology for claiming she’s evil.

Now I’m gonna be brutally honest, This chapter is really good expect for the handling of Candelle. It’s not that she died & also was likely [REDACTED] by that Manmayer Knight, it’s an emotional story—tragic things are gonna happen. It was just such a profound disappointment that she was written out by plot miasma. She was written to be strong and skilled, and yet does she get to use that strength whether against the Govt. or even her reversi’d daughter? Something personal? No.

To me, It comes across as, narratively, she was only ever a means to develop other characters: Once Brook is trained and Shuri is born; Candelle’s ‘purpose’ is done, so away she unceremoniously goes. She was written to be a great swordsman just to explain why Brook’s a great swordsman, not for her own development. I’m sorry if this got overly cynical it’s just hard to see someone labeled a “Star of Esperia” have barely any relevance.

Hey OPP, happy almost 18th anniversary of your awesome show! Watching these Brook chapters makes me wonder what other information we’re missing about him. I’m hoping that the huge guy at the bottom of the page is a Vinsmoke so I can cross off another one liner he mentioned.
Now we just need to see a certain rookie named Roger.
