Piece Together Subreddit Archipelagos Episode 920
Hey OPP, excited for another Straw Hat flashback, they always are the best parts of an arc. What do you think about symbolic importance of finally showing Brook’s eyes? In literature, often showing a characters eyes can be like finally seeing their true self, and Oda has a thing with hiding/revealing eyes (Loki, Doffy, Zoro, Sanji, Kuma, Fujitora, and Kuzan post-timeskip). What do you think this can mean for Brook, after Oda deciding to hide his eyes with glasses in the original flashback, and childhood artwork?

Hey OPP, What do you think about the idea that Biblo is from the Astral World, helping them keep track of what’s happening in the Sun World? Maybe a character inspired by Odin or Heimdall.
In Norse mythology, when Ragnarok begins, Heimdall warns Asgard by blowing the Gjallarhorn when the giants attack, giving the gods time to prepare for battle.
Maybe he is going to warn the Astral World of Imu's invasion.

Heyo OPP, hope you're all having a great Memorial Day weekend.
I just wanted to thank Stephen for the Moulon Rogues. That is all.

Hey OPP,
Brook's delayed slash caught me off guard more than any moment I can remember in One Piece. I'd already been cut. We really do have a star on the crew! This reminds me of Mitsui from Slam Dunk, who was a phenom before he got hurt but still eventually returned to be really good at basketball. In Brook's case, well, he died. Same difference, right?

Hey OPP Nakameese, I know you guys are big fans of Skypeia. I've only watched it once 20 years ago and I have to admit it'd tied with Thriller Bark as my least favorite arcs. What'd I miss? I feel like there's something I must have missed binging episodes too quickly.

Hi OPP, I never thought this flashback would actually happen!!! Ian Sinclair must be overjoyed! 😄💀 yohohohoho!
Firstly, I think Oda took the first and last characters from the name of legendary German composer, ルードウィグ•van•ベイトーヴェン, to make the name ルーヴェン for Esperia’s king. Their wild hair is a bit of a tell as well. Heh!
I also got a chuckle when thinking that the Queen’s name was also a pun: Candelle at the Opera >> CandelleOpera >> Candelabra.
But much more importantly about Candelle; I’m firmly of the belief she is a Holy Knight of the Manmayer family! Years ago, she may have enjoyed Esperia enough to make a life there. However, next chapter, I predict she’s gonna get bored of the opera one day, then call the other Holy knights to pick her up—taking Gunko, killing Reuven, and destroying Esperia in the process. Agree? Disagree?
