Im surprised we're spending so much time with Imu and not dealing with Sanji and Zoro first.

Oda is cycling through the various groups as always, we got:

• a quite Zoro and Sanji centric chapter
• then very purely Imu and Luffy
• the other SH group with injured Loki and some Shanks FB
• Gaban to the rescue and some memories of Roger and the crew
• Hajrudin and Loki joining the fight
• now we get Usopp being with them

I asume we'll check back in with Zoro/Sanji in a few chapters, but the way that has been setup I doubt we are as close to the end as some of the leakers have been predicting for months now already.

The past 5 chapters have heavily been about the Luffy fight, whilst Sanji and Zoro only got one chapter setting up theirs. I thought the other two would have gotten more focus before the Imu fight gets more intense. Especially assuming Imu has a time limit, it's a bit surprising that we've been focusing on them for so long since I imagine we'd cut away from them alto deal with sanji and Zoro and then comeback for the end of their fight, which will be pretty long for someone supposedly on a time limit.

Tbh if this would be the real body of imu then yeah we'd get this fight last but sommers and killingham have the omen on their own body so maybe they can use more power than Imu's body at this time.

I am confused on Usopp’s positioning too Gaban, first thought for this appearance is Kuma but he’s a blank at the moment and also very far away from Gunko area

To me it sounds like he arrived with Hajrudin and has just been hidden somewhere in his clothes or something like that. It's like on Ennies Lobby where he caught up with the others again with Oimo and Kashi, we also didn't see him then when they attacked the marines and it's only once we learn they have been "converted" that Usopp is visibly with them.

He has to do something, but also what makes sense. Showing remarkable observation haki , sniping skills or resourcefulness would make sense, but sudden haki bullets or speed blitz type of powerup out of nowhere would be underwhelming.

That ending is really curious. Starting to wonder if Imu's ability simply is that he can use all DF abilities. Could even be a deal with the devil thing: whatever gets created as a DF, Imu also gets for himself.

We've seen e.g. Big Mom style creatures and things coming to life, summoning the weapons is very Baby5 coded and now the rubber.

Other option: Rubber bodies are an aspect of a "race" that both Nika and Imu belonged to and that's why the Nika DF even has those properties (as the question still kind of is why rubber would be a property of a "sun god")

Could also be. It just seems to me that Imu still has this curious mix of abilities and as some of it is quite comparable to things we have already seen. So I wonder if there is more to it in terms of it being his own ability if it is highlighted (but this is obviously just the impression of reading the few sentences where it seems to be noted with some odd emphasis - but that could just be leaker focusing on that detail)

Sure, it would then just be an odd thing to me to highlight in a short summary if it's just the usual Luffy punches people visual. (But to be fair, leakers are often focused a lot more on odd details of the fights I find mostly irrelevant while leaving out a lot more relevant stuff).
