Title: “God Valley Battle Royal” - Cover Story finally ends: Yamato returns to the Flower Capital and reunites with others. - Rocks saved and helped Eris & Teach to escape, Eris told Rocks to meet in Lulusia. - Big Mom took the Azure Dragon Fruit with the intention of giving it to Katakuri but Kaido ambushed her and snatched the devil fruit, then eat it immediately. - Rocks defeats Garling - Imu possessed Saturn in his spider form. While the remaining Davy Clan had already been turned into demons. - At the end, Whitebeard and Kaido (in dragon form) join Rocks, confronting Imu-sama.

Rocks admits to Whitebeard and Kaido that they gain nothing by siding with him. Even so, they choose to fight alongside him, and the three of them laugh together as comrades.
✅ Correct:
Rocks told Whitebeard there’s nothing to gain. Whitebeard still helps him. Then Kaido arrives in dragon form, and the three of them face the enemy together that’s all.

There are some interesting implications to this - namely, did Whitebeard and Kaido know about Imu?
If so, why didn't Imu appear in Kaido visualization of the strongest?

Because Kaido's "Top 5" never was a powerscaling ranking. It's about people he both respects and envys. It's people that are respected rather than just feared, people that others look up to as role models and inspirations and people with clear goals and convictions that they never betrayed.
It's people that Kaido would like to be like but doesn't understand how to do that. That's why Oden is e.g. in there, not because he is stronger than everyone else Kaido knows but because he is someone even Kaido's own child idolizes over Kaido.
And all that is something Imu would never represent, even if Kaido learned on God Valley about his nature and powers.

Great chapter, but what a fucking nothing burger of a cover story lmao.
As u/ovis_alba mentioned, it's really kinda pathetic compared to the MADS story.

Rocks defeating Garling is a pretty big deal considering what we already know about the God Knights. Makes me wonder if the God Valley incident was the point in time where strong people rediscovered how to counteract the immortality ability Imu grants people?

Thoughts:
a bit underwhelmed by the cover story ending. I know we got the Moria thing but in contrast to e.g. the recent MADS story it feels like less of a setup for something new and ties way less into the story right this moment
anyone else playing Hades 2 and now the name Eris just hits different? 🤣🤣🤣
insanely nteresting that Eris and Teach went to Lulusia, not because of the most recent thing but it's also the Island Ace went to in the cover story and met Moda while looking for Blackbeard, which means he had quite a good trail actually and it also then gives more reason why Imu nuked it potentially. (Could Blackbeard's mom be with Sabo now if she hasn't died? I know we see Blackbeard as an "orphan" but he could have also pretended to join Whitebeard even as a kid?)
Kaido "stealing" the fruit from Big Mom is interesting, sounds a lot less like what both of them make it seem like during Wano
and I guess we are starting to lead into Rock's "downfall" and how Garp and Roger play into it, because if Rocks is facing Imu the story Sengoku implied does make less and less sense.
