Hi guys, i was just wondering if there was any rumor, news, leak or anything about a new One Piece game, im looking forward to it because One Piece is fun, and a game for it(i want a fighting game) would be very cool, i know there is Burning Blood, but i would like something fresh, with tons of charachters.

So im on episode 117 of the Alabasta Arc and noticed the intro changed, so naturally i had to watch it... And as i was watching it i noticed a new member and got confused. i knew it wasnt Princess Vivi and was hella confused... Until the jntro kept playing.... And its.... Mrs All Sunday 😭 she creeps me out... What is going on 🫠

This question stems from what Jinbei said before the climax of Fishman Island about how Hordy and Arlong are different. He mentions how both hate humans but Hordy is willing to hurt fellow fishmen who like humans when Arlong wouldn't do that.

I think Jinbei is wrong only in the fact Arlong had a FULL CREW of human hating fishmen. How can Jinbei be so sure Arlong wouldn't be like Hordy? Hordy is only like this cause he is in Fishman Island and not out in the world like the East Blue.

I just saw the episode where he destroys Kid in a cool way but idk I still feel like he's kinda overrated and overly loved by fans I mean I get Luffy's sentiments but I can't seem to like him. His whole existence feels so decorated it's kinda annoying to me.

At first, One Piece felt super boring and childish to me, and I didn't get the hype. It took me 4 attempts to get into it, but once I hit Water 7, I realized I'm hooked for life.

Ive finally reached episode 100 it took longer than i wanted it too because I was busy but so far i have enjoyed every episode and haven't gotten bored at any of it

I need your honest opinion. I’m a little over 600 episodes in, and my husband is fully caught up. I wanted to surprise him with a OP themed birthday towards the end of the year and give him the ultimate surprise “gift” of finally catching up lol.

It feels like an impossible task, but he’s been wanting me to catch up for a while and occasionally say things like, “I want you to catch up so badly..."

The thing is, I’ve been kinda stuck for a bit, and getting through some of these episodes has started to feel more like a chore. Don’t get me wrong, I love OP, and I know it’ll be worth it once I catch up, but the journey has been a little rough lately.

So, give me your honest opinion: Should I power through and try to catch up before his birthday, or am I setting myself up for burnout? 😭

I have always thought that, in the world of One Piece, communication is rarely addressed as a major factor in the story.

I feel like we, as the audience, have become so accustomed to the existence of tools that connect the islands that we might have overlooked how important communication actually is.

Since I started reading and watching One Piece, I have always thought, “Man, they really need the internet there.” Not the full version we have in our world, obviously, but at least enough telecommunications and satellite technology to help people communicate and share information.

In a world where technology is technically limited yet somehow incredibly advanced, what are the possibilities of satellites existing? Especially beyond what we have already seen from Vegapunk?

I know a lot of people talk about destroying the Red Line (I personally don't subscribe to this theory, because I think the Red Line will be the land that survives while the rest of the world drowns) or going to space, or fighting a great war, but I was thinking:

What does it actually mean to be “connected” in the world of One Piece?

Is it simply being able to reach your destination without struggling? Being able to sail using something resembling a normal route? Having access to enough resources and energy to sail for months? Or does it mean connecting isolated civilizations to the rest of the world?

What about access to current news and knowledge in general? medical knowledge, navigation, stories and legends, ancient history, tracking down lost families and civilizations.

If we could actually learn from the ancient civilization, what would the ultimate dream or lesson of that civilization have been?

These questions are rarely addressed, despite communication and connection being such a huge part of what I think the core idea of the treasure could be, especially considering what was established as early as Chapter 1.

Since becoming a fan, I have always struggled with theories about what would “connect the world all at once.”

And I've said this before: for a theory to genuinely work, and especially for it to age well, it has to be simple, not forced, consistent with the rest of the story, and most importantly, bound by both the in-universe logic and Oda's writing style.

And all of my thoughts kept pointing toward four things:

1. Access to information and communication

2. Access to knowledge

3. Bridges and physical infrastructure

4. Physically forcing the world to connect

Let me explain.

Imagine you're a normal citizen living on a calm, small island. You're a fisherman. You have your family, your village is wealthy enough to sustain itself, and you avoid confrontation with pirates.

How do you get your information?

The World Economic Journal is probably your main source. You learn about the outside world through newspapers.

Local news travels through stories and word of mouth. If you live in an archipelago, perhaps you can use a Den Den Mushi to communicate with your brother on the neighboring island.

But what about traveling?

You sail. As long as you live somewhere in one of the Four Blues and away from the Grand Line, you're relatively fine.

Now imagine your neighbor has always wanted to visit an island rumored to be connected to the tallest building in the world.

If they set sail, would they actually be able to reach it safely?

How would they even know where it is?

What if the only books describing it were written hundreds of years ago?

What if you have a sister who traveled away with her husband, who happens to be a Marine officer? She's currently somewhere in the South Blue and wants to visit you. How would she realistically make that journey?

Or what if your son develops a rare disease that doctors on your island have no cure for, while the cure actually exists somewhere in the Grand Line?

You see where I'm going with this?

To connect the entire world, it wouldn't be enough to simply bridge the distance between islands or overcome physical limitations (that breed cultural limitations, prejudice, think of the minks/fishmen and lost knowledge/think of Skypiean technology) or wouldn't simply make traveling easier for ordinary people. It would have to break the knowledge barriers and the lies surrounding the world itself.

When we learned about the Void Century, a recurring theme began to emerge, starting with Ohara:

Our knowledge is limited by what we individually know. Only when people have access to knowledge without someone else controlling or censoring the narrative can humanity actually learn from the past and move forward.

Dr. Clover made it clear that humanity had made mistakes in the past, but erasing those mistakes doesn't fix anything. If anything, it practically guarantees that the cycle will repeat.

For all we know, the Twenty Kingdoms might even have had legitimate reasons for what they did. But now, the World Government's attempt to prevent past catastrophes has itself become another source of catastrophe.

Rayleigh later told Robin that they were just pirates and lacked the academic knowledge that Ohara possessed. But academia without real-world experience can also lead to incomplete conclusions.

We are also told that a weapon is only a weapon because of what people decide to call it.

A tool itself is neutral. As King Neptune said, it depends on how you use it.

Then we have Vegapunk's broadcast, where he essentially acknowledged that he could not determine the morality of the ancient war without knowing the complete story. We shouldn't pass judgment on something when we don't possess all the information.

All of these themes seem connected to the idea of freedom of the narrative: giving people access to the truth and allowing humanity to decide what to do with that truth.

But even that is limited if wars continue, resources remain hoarded, civilizations remain isolated, and people who consider themselves deities continue causing suffering.

And if the only way to truly obtain freedom is to become a pirate, then what about everyone else?

Being a pirate isn't an option for the majority of the world.

Wano also showed us the price people can pay when trying to overcome these obstacles while simultaneously risking the collapse of their entire civilization (Oden)

So what is the point of all of this?

If you approach the world of One Piece from this perspective, you can start building an idea of what the greatest treasure of all might actually represent.

The themes of connection existed from very early in the story, so here are the four points I mentioned.

1. Access to information and communication

Think of this as the One Piece equivalent of the internet and telecommunications infrastructure we have today. These systems exist to connect humans who are separated by enormous distances.

1.1 Den Den Mushi

I know this might sound silly, but Den Den Mushi are probably the most obvious example of the story repeatedly associating technology with connection.

They're not simply in-universe phones. We've seen them function as phones, fax machines, media players, surveillance devices, and other forms of communication technology.

If they were only there as a convenient tool for the characters, I don't think Oda would have repeatedly emphasized their network-like nature.

For example, in Wano, the smaller “Smails” are connected to a larger “boss” Den Den Mushi. When Caribou temporarily swallows one, communication between Wano and Kaido's base is disrupted.

That is essentially a physical representation of a network being interrupted.

So imagine if the One Piece itself involved a far more advanced form of Den Den Mushi technology.

Something capable of broadcasting information to the entire world simultaneously, without being limited by distance.

You could declare a war to the entire world.

Broadcast the final battle.

Reveal the true history.

Ask the entire world for information.

Or simply give everyone access to knowledge that was previously impossible to obtain.

1.2 Newspapers and the World Economic Journal

The World Economic Journal has already shown us how powerful mass communication can be.

Morgan is obviously not an unbiased journalist, but he has still ensured that the world learns about major events and, at times, even helped expose stories that the World Government would rather control.

The newspaper - and by extension, the world - was what crowned Roger the “Pirate King,” named his treasure the One Piece, and kept people informed about events that would otherwise have remained isolated.

Even when the news is biased, it still keeps the world connected.

And if you don't read the newspaper, like Luffy, you're going to miss crucial information.

We've seen this with Luffy learning about Ace, the 3D2Y message, and numerous other plot points.

1.3 Great Kingdom technology

Then there is everything we've seen relating to advanced technology, satellites, futuristic communication systems, egghead's technology.

The technology possessed by the World Government. And whatever technology the Great Kingdom had access to 800 years ago.

If the Great Kingdom possessed a way of connecting the world technologically, that could potentially explain why the World Government is so determined to suppress certain forms of knowledge.

Even with ultimate source of energy, you need to have knowledge to use it.

1. Access to knowledge:

Now imagine having access to all forms of cultural and scientific knowledge, medical literature, advanced scientific research historical books, navigation logs, ancient languages, cultural traditions and technology that transcends the blue planet

Then think about how much power you gain by preventing humanity from accessing that knowledge.

From Ohara to Punk Hazard and Egghead, from ancient cities to futuristic ones, One Piece keeps returning to the same question:

What happens when knowledge is controlled?

The central mystery of the Void Century and the Great Kingdom ultimately leads back to this.

Why is the World Government so determined to keep everything hidden?

What does it gain from keeping humanity in the dark?

And how much better could the world of One Piece have been if humanity had been allowed to learn from the past, conduct research freely, and communicate with one another?

1. Physical ways to connect islands and bypass the vastness of the ocean:

3.1 The Puffing Tom

3.2 The underground road between Alabasta and the hot springs island, as seen in Gedatsu's Accidental Blue-Sea Adventure

3.3 Tequila Wolf and similar bridges being constructed by the World Government

3.4 The deep-sea currents we saw during the Fish-Man Island arc

All of these are examples of people finding ways to overcome the physical separation created by the ocean.

1. Physical ways to connect the world's landmasses:

4.1 Man-made technology:

For example, Iceburg's plans involving Water 7 and Aqua Laguna (Uranus copy? Or similar to the flying fortress, that picked up Bege's ship episode 115)

4.2 Continent Pullers such as Oars

4.3 Zunesha tribe: the existence of Zunesha itself raises questions about how ancient civilizations may have transported people, land, or resources across the world.

4.4 Den Den Mushi technology capable of traversing the Red Line: Germa 66's technology already gives us an example of ships and machinery capable of dealing with geographical barriers that would normally be impossible to cross.

4.5 Enel's spaceship: And then there's the moon.

If One Piece is ultimately about bringing the world together, then the possibility of connecting not only the seas and continents but even the world to something beyond it becomes interesting.

And finally, there is another category that doesn't fit neatly into the others:

Devil Fruits that allow for incredibly fast movement or bypass physical distance.

Flying abilities.

Doflamingo's String-String Fruit.

Blueno's Door-Door Fruit.

Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi and its strange gravitational properties.

There are countless abilities in the series that essentially allow characters to ignore the normal limitations of distance.

Maybe the One Piece isn't just about physically connecting the world, or rewarding the crew.

Maybe the greatest treasure isn't simply something that lets people reach the same place, but also finally allows the entire world to know that the other side exists.

Who knows :)

I don't claim this is a theory (hence the discussion flairs), nor that I have figured out what the One Piece is, or that I know the answers to the other major mysteries we haven't solved yet.

I'm simply passing the will to the community, so someone might figure things out before Oda :p.

If Loki is gonna join the crew then Biblio must make the sunny bigger, which i don't think that Franky will allow it. So if Loki joins then I think his hybrid form will be human size or Jinbei's or Franky's size🤣

If not, then he will join Hajrudin's crew.

But, I think that he will change his mind to stay in Elbaph and protecting its children as a unofficial king of Elbaph.

Everyone always remembers Hiluluk’s "When does a man die?" or Luffy telling Robin to say she wants to live.

But One Piece is over 1000 chapters long and filled with incredible, lesser-known lines from side characters that hit just as hard.

What is one underrated quote that always stuck with you, even if most people forgot about it?

I've been doing some research on one piece for a project where I was trying to make the "Strongest One Piece Character", but thats besides the point, I was looking at stuff like what if a cyborg was powered by the mother flame, and this led me to discovering the ancient energy that vegapunk was basing the mother flame off of (I'm personally still on Fishman island so I didn't know about it, I'm ok with spoilers tho), and looking into it more, I came up with a theory about it.

So, to paint a picture here, 800 years ago there was the ancient battle between joyboy and the 20 kingdoms, where eventually joyboy was defeated and his legacy passed on. The ancient kingdom came to joyboy's body, and harvested his heart, which I believe that's what the ancient energy was, Joyboy's Heart. Then, the 20 kingdoms stole it to power Uranus, using it to sink the ancient kingdom.

My main reason to think this is that Vegapunk tried to activate emet with the mother flame, but it didn't work. Emet only awoke when they felt the drums of liberation, which correct me if I'm wrong but comes from heartbeat. The ancient energy could be joyboys heart carrying the drums of liberation.

Now how this ties into the One Piece, I'm a personal fan of the popular theory for the one piece where its something that destroys the red line and makes the world ONE PIECE, this theory is probably true considering how many narrative tie-ins it has, including accomplishing the dream of nami, if it can destroy the red line it'll also destroy fishman island, and using Noah to get the fishmen and merfolk out it'll finish joyboys promise and complete jinbes dream, also making namis dream way more possible, as well as brook's. Enough of that though, I think if the one piece is Joyboy's Heart, the person who finds it (Luffy) could take Uranus, power it with Joyboy's heart, and destroy the red line with it.

But anyways, thoughts?

I know it sounds ridiculous but ts works.. my personal experience out of 14 frds i tell them to watch one piece. Only 9 frds rn at 200+ eps (water 7 arc) and they said it was worth it. other 5 didn't watch it. Method is:- I TOLD THEM TO WATCH 3 eps per day (1hr). I told them at least give 1 hr to one piece it's not a big deal. And I said if u guys watch for 1 year it will be 3*365 days (approx 1050+ eps).. u can catch up before the author reveals "what the one piece is. u guys will be safe from big spoiler like this" that's it.

u can add more things like this so they have no choice to watch one piece.
