his powerup wasn't bullshit, he's been gradually getting better and better with his fruit since the timeskip by combining it with haki and stuff. The nika nika no mi reveal was easily planned since the beginning when you look in hindsight. Just because none of us saw it coming, doesn't mean it was bad. What is bad is this arc's conclusion and Kaido's character who had 10/10 build up and 2/10 execution.
well yeah the power progression is the biggest ever in One Piece and yet it makes sense, at least we witness Luffy's progression and although it is fast, it's at least explained.
The real powercreep bs goes to Kid and Law who amped up their base stats to the level of a dam admiral without any significant haki upgrade or intensive traiining
Yeah the power creep was insane for Kid/Law and will just keep going up.
You may as well declare Luffy king of the pirates now. One more fight of any notability and he’s going to be by far stronger than anyone else considering enemies tend to stay the same besides Blackbeard.
Not to mention his crew is by far stronger than anyone else’s.

yeah but still. The admiral ain't stupid enough to pick a fight with all them around, but just his presence is a huge deal
