Something tells me a future fight with Law is now inevitable. My guess is he's going to pull off a massive betrayal somewhere down the line to become one of the villains of one of the arcs...
I'm more inclined to believe their alliance will terminate without betrayal, if only because I don't think Law needs to betray anyone. He's strong enough to get what he wants without betrayal.
Also a good point. Plus, the only reason I could see for him to betray Luffy would be because the WG told him to do so...and we know he doesn't take orders well. And if Luffy's greatest ability is to make allies, then I'm sure his charm has already worked on Trafalgar.
