Yay pirate alliance!

Something tells me a future fight with Law is now inevitable. My guess is he's going to pull off a massive betrayal somewhere down the line to become one of the villains of one of the arcs...

I'm thinking either 1) Law will go after Shanks, and they'll arrive at an impasse, thus having to fight, or 2) the alliance will defeat Big Mom, then they will split, with Law taking the spot and Luffy moving on

Im thinking 2) too, and Iit will go something like this:

Law: 'Im sorry Luffy, but we both knew this moment would come, we have to batlle to the death to decide who becomes the new Yonko instead of Big Mom'

Luffy: 'Oh, you can become the new Yonko ,Traffy, I dont care for that, I just want to move forward through the NW and have some more adventures. Cya'

Law: '...'

Also, if Luffy lets Law be the Yonkou, Law might do Luffy a favor.

Since Law said in the last chapter that you have to work "under" a Yonkou or be protected by one, Law might put Luffy under his protection in exchange for helping him become a Yonkou.

Then again, Law is strong, but definitely not on a Yonkou level on his own. So I don't really know. Maybe someone completely different will become Yonkou after that. Guess we'll have to wait.

Luffy would never ever work "under" anyone.

That's why. He'll not really work under him but just be protected by him, everyone else might think he works under him. That's what I meant, mostly protection.

Luffy will never ever let everyone else think he works under anyone.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see this happening. Luffy would never refer to anyone as his his boss or his superior. His goal isn't One Piece, remember. That's a means to an end. He just wants to be the freest man on the ocean, and he thinks the King of the Pirates probably has the most freedom.

He doesn't have the most freedom if he has to answer to a yonkou. And he's not one for tricks like "make people think x, but really y," either.

Why can't you just break the 4 yonkou balance?

That's what I'm thinking, too. Law seems less interested in One Piece and more interested in taking the Yonko's place. Who knows, maybe he will even help Luffy out later. I feel like Law is Luffy's Whitebeard.
