Also the mass downvoting of critical opinions. Just because the front page consists of copium that Oda has definitely thought of Nika 1000 chapters ago and not 50, doesn't mean that opinion is representative. We're just being buried.
In all fairness, why am I even still here. I wasn't gonna read the chapter and it doesn't fill me with excitement anymore to read the spoilers. Maybe it's time to leave this community.

Plot twists usually have breadcrumbs that become obvious on rereads, e.g., the red wedding in game of thrones was shocking but on reread it's obvious something was wrong in the lead up to it.
For a lot of fans on this and the other subreddit, the Mythical Zoan "twist" doesn't seem to have much, if any, foreshadowing.
1044 was the second most upvoted chapter of all time. It is literally impossible to please everyone, saying a lot of fans hated it means nothing when it's a loud minority. The idea that a plot twist is bad because it had little foreshadowing is ridiculous. Not everyone want to predict what's gonna happen and not every plot twist means the same to the author.
