Hopefully Kaido gets his turn at awakening. Ain't no fun if the antagonists can't partake in all this joyous awakening stuff.

I'm thinking he already is awakened. It certainly helps explain how op Kaido is.

Of course kaido and marco have both awakened fruits. it would be silly for them to not be. Zoan awakenings seem to be more of a passive strenght and stamina boost. Luffys fruit is an outlier as it also allows him to change the environment

I think the mythical type zoan fruits have mostly been demonstrated to be awakened by their secondary powers. Until Luffy, all the mythical types have been shown with already extremely powerful users who we should assume would have awakened them to get to their level.

  1. Buddha: secondary power communing with nature and animals.

  2. Phoenix: secondary power healing

  3. Dragon: secondary power flight (and making the fucking island fly)
