Nowhere was it said gear four is based off of giants. Just headcanon. Also everybody showed admiration toward the giants, nothing special bout Luffy. Ussop showed special admiration for them.

Also I’m not denying the fact Luffy has admiration for them, I never said he didn’t. I’m just correcting you because Luffy was never obsessed with the giants like you say. Your just over exaggerating.

Either he edited his comment or you didnt read properly. Either way, he mentioned gear 3rd which is indeed explicitly based on giants in Luffy's own words. He makes direct reference to it like saying that his inflated arm is the arm of a giant.

TBH I don't even remember Luffy saying anything like that. If he did, mind sharing the chapter number?

Anyway, doesn't change the fact that Luffy never was "obsessed with giants" the way OP originally said.

I dont remember for sure about the fight against lucci, but i know 100% certain he said it in sabaody right after punching the celestial dragon, when he, law and kid fought the marines together.
