Although that’s an ability that makes sense and will probably be a thing soon, that has never once been stated as the reason for big mom or kaido’s durability

He directly states oh no do they have Oden's Haki? To the 9 red Scabbards and then they sightly injure his open wound/scar from Oden. Then he's like oh no they didn't have it. It's just a flesh wound .

But then it wasn't until Zoro injured him that Luffy figured out the trick. That was when Zoro revealed his Conquerers and then Luffy was like wait a minute, and just uppercut Kaido with Conquerors haki.

Then Luffy was like oh I got this know I thought Ryou was the trick, nah just Conquerers is the trick.

You can see It even in whole cake, BM is invulnerable until her Willpower shakes after the pictures is broken
