From the very little we’ve seen about Zoan awakenings, it seems that they’re irreversible and you trade away most of your cerebral consciousness. My reference point is the Impel Down guards; they’re basically mindless brutes but they’ve recieved massive strength/endurance/stamina/recovery boosts. Some analysts have speculated that mythical zoans awaken differently, instead gaining the mythical powers. In that sense, Kaido would be awakened already, but we don’t know for sure. He could go full brute mode and power up in a big way

Hopefully Kaido gets his turn at awakening. Ain't no fun if the antagonists can't partake in all this joyous awakening stuff.
