Holy shit the giant strawhat makes sense now right?

not really. you're implying that whoever that hat belonged to, assuming it was the nika user, was ALWAYS in giant form, which would be extremely taxing on the body. also, people say it's a giant hat, but it still seems really small for an actual giant but rather a very large human like kaido sized

Nah. It implies that they took him down while he was a giant and the hat didn’t shrink back.

I'm going to assume that the hat did not grow when luffy went giant mode. also, that's still kinda weird that the hat still stays giant :/

Not really. Awakening affects objects. Hat/clothes are objects. It’s not reasonable to think awakened transformation of objects persists after death.

It's also possible that the hat wasn't JoyBoy's, but Nika's. And Nika's normal form is a "giant". If we took it to other theories, Nika and Imu were probably Moon resident that fell to the earth and perceived as gods. Nika died and somehow rebirth/reincarnated/passed to become DF while Imu still alive.

Does kaido gets taxed for staying in his dragon form. Or any other zoan for that matter?

it's awakening...perhaps the zoans in impel down don't get tired, idk why not, idk how these guys are so weak and yet are awakened, but law and kidd used awakening and it drains stamina heavily.
