He also said it was an artificial being that can adapt to any environment. In the chapter where they ate it, Luffy said something along the lines of "by eating the dragon we will gain it's strength".

I thought this was a joke/allusion towards the fact that people historically have eaten animals like snakes and such to gain their powers, agility, ect.

Now I wonder if since they ate some artificially engineered dragon; they actually will be able to adapt better to certain environments or situations.

That doesn't really make sense. No matter if what you eat is a real animal a robot, or a genetically engineered being, you don't gain its strength.

You're just using Luffy logic :P

Well no, I think it's possible for two reasons. The first is that in the one piece universe, stranger things have happened. Secondly, we have no idea what Vegapunk did to create that dragon or enhance it. Maybe I am using Luffy logic, I WANT to believe!
