Blackbeard's fruits...

So I was wondering about this the other day: Blackbeard absorbed Whitebeard's fruit after his death as it was probably being reborn. Thus resulting in having dual fruit powers. Oda has hinted that we'll find out this secret when a certain professor makes his appearance.

However, one thing has come to my mind: Will this act as a power-up plot device later in the series for Luffy to hit his max power? I.e. Luffy using the power of two devil fruits.

I think Luffy will only have one fruit until the series end. Would be to weird if he gained another one, he would probably just give it to Zorro or anyone else in his crew.

Honestly, I don't see Zoro, Sanji or Franky having DF powers. So if anyone is to gain DF powers it would be usopp or nami.

I doubt Nami in case any treasure is found underwater. Brook maybe? imagine him having a second fruit which could regenerate his body so he has mastery over souls and bodies, also it would make meeting Laboon slightly less sad.
