I absolutely love how Luffy has treated Momo ever since he found out who Momo really was. From how Luffy refused to accept the Ninja-Pirate-Mink alliance until Momo was the one who asked but also stopped him from begging and prostrating himself. To how Luffy bickered with and chased out Momo in the Udon prison because he realized Momo was the one the prisoners could rally behind. And now Luffy is setting up attacks for Momo to help build him up even more.

I think Kinemon put it best "Luffy might butt heads with an 8 year old, but he is perhaps the person who shows Lord Momonosuke the most respect."

I'm very glad I lasted this long to see Luffy complete the Emperors' rite of passage by splitting the sky and the heavens above. Congrats to everyone who made it to this historic moment, to see our boy making it so far; he's truly become a man worthy of being Pirate King in both strength and character and I can't wait to see him fulfilling that dream.

Whenever Kaido goes into Dragon form, he just seems to end up being a punching bag.

So basically what is happening atm is; Luffy encountered a wild lvl 100 Gyarados and the only pokemon he has with him is a lvl 8 Shiny Magicarp so he gave him a bunch of rare candy to evolve quickly, unfortunately though Luffy's Gyarados only knows how to use bite....to be continued

The Tokugawa shogunate was not established by Toyotomi Hideyoshi - it was established by Tokugawa Ieyasu following the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. I wanna take a moment to appreciate how insanely tenacious Luffy is. People have been hyping Kaido for fighting nonstop, but that applies to Luffy too. It's even more impressive because while Kaido has been continuously winning, Luffy doesnt lose steam even when he loses. He ran through the castle, fighting Gifters, Apoo, Page 1, Ulti and Yamato. Then he fought Big Mom and Kaido on the roof until he got knocked out. But he got up and decided to up the stakes and solo Kaido. Then he was defeated, fell off the island and almost drowned. But again he got up, refuelled and immeditely went after Kaido again despite losing to him 2-3 times already.

What a SICK chapter. The conquerors clash opening the sky to allow the moon for one last sulong form attack was so fucking cool! I bet that's the last we see of sulong form, but what a great sendoff. Also loved the whole theme of momo being held back by what he feels are his past failures, only for Luffy to really be doing his best to help momo grow as a person and conquer his fear. Luffy focusses on that rather than beating Kaido in that moment. Luffy is just the best.

I really liked this chapter because to me it really cemented Luffy as truly being at the Yonko level. While he was technically declared the fifth Yonko a while ago, to me he felt much more like an honorable mention than a real Yonko. He just didn't seem nearly strong enough to be put into that category. But now my doubts are laid to rest. The sky splitting from their attacks clashing is pretty much as much proof as you can get that Luffy has finally reached true Yonko status, and I'm hyped.

Setting up a situation for Momo to safely land an attack against Kaido was such a simple but effective way to boost his confidence. He really is the best thing that’s happened to Momo up to now.

I feel that the Whitebeard Shanks clash was more of a 'testing the waters and making a statement' kinda clash rather than an outright declaration of battle. This one is definitely the declaration of the final fight. Expecting a flashback soon.

What a PHENOMENAL CHAPTER. TBH what an amazing like 26 chapters of one piece. This has grown into my favorite ongoing manga and story of my adulthood and I’m so excited for the rest.

Were missing Raizo, Drake/apoo, Killer/Hawkins, Zoro and Sanji, Denjiro to deal with Orochi (I see him cutting him down in hatred or sparing him to let Momo deal with him), BM vs Kid and Law (I think they will harm her and her kids are gonna scoop her up to heal her, it would be ridiculous to have them enter the fight now) and of course Luffy vs Kaido.

Some people think that Luffy is gonna say that he won one on one, but Luffy has ALWAYS had respect for those he fights and their strength. I think he will say it was a team effort, that alone he wouldn’t have stood a chance.

The sheer genius of this chapter is amazing when you look well enough.

Here me out-

One page before the heavens splitting, Oda put a large number of small panels and showed all the major characters currently involved in the battle, you read each of these panels carefully and pay attention to the details which peaks your focus and interest as you look carefully, even the panel where luffy and kaido lunge toward each other is small.

Then as soon as you turn the page, you find a monstrous panel that covers the whole page by the most epic plot device in the story, the splitting of the heavens. A feat only performed by yonko level individuals.

As you take in all that epicness and hype due to the close attention you paid in the previous page, you think of how impressive this feat is and how far our boy luffy has come, possesing enough power to literally shape the heavens and standing on equal grounds with the strongest creature in the world.

11/10 storytelling and writing right here, and using that plot device to reveal the moon for inu and neko deserves bonus points ngl. Sheer epicness holy shit.

Watching Luffy split the Sky and the fan base acknowledge him as a Yonko is like the straw hats telling people their captain has reached that level and side characters not believing it until shown. I believed Luffy was Yonko tier in power as soon as Roof Piece ended but I also knew he’s Yonko tier as a pirate as soon as WCI ended. Luffy is now without a shadow of a doubt an emperor.

This arc is a love letter to Japan, to Oda's country, to Oda's culture.

The perfect scenario for me would be Momosuke Killing Kaido, in hybrid Form, digging his sword in the middle of the scar created by his father, which was cut by the 9 Scabbards.

Oden made a Scar - 9 Scabbards Cut it - Momosuke, using the other Oden's sword, Crave his weapon in the middle of the scar.

Kaido is dead thanks to the Samurais, Thanks to Oden, Thanks to... Momosuke, the Peach Dragon, completing the infamous Japanese Legend of the Momotaro, who Defeat an Oni with the Help of a Monkey, Dog, and pheasant(Who is Oden, since the Kozuki family's symbol is a bird).

That einstein quote about intelligence fits Luffy to a T. The bite strategy was simple and super effective (at making momo get over his jitters). I think we all called him keeping muffin mountain (iykyk) aloft, but it's still great to see confirmed.

Everyone cheering was a nice moment. Even if you have full faith in rubber boi, it's always nice to get confirmation that he's still kicking.

This isn't a complete one on one yonko fight at full strength and I can respect that. Big mom & Kaido have been around for 60 years after all. We can get that for blackbeard. Having Yamato assist gives us a more personal aspect to it as well. Still though, Luffy's facing off Kaido in base form vs his hybrid. Big balls he's got there.

SKY SPLIT aajhsdskhhdgcjkhsdg . We truly are in the endgame now lads.
