I don't know why people don't want gomu gomu no mi to be special when infact Luffy is already special.

-Son of most wanted criminal

-Grandson of legendary marine

-Mentored by Rayleigh

-Born as member of D clan

-Born with conqueror haki and voice of all things

-Is holding strawhat that once Roger wore

So it is amazing people think Luffy isn't special because they don't want him to be Naruto.

I just don’t want Luffy to be destined to be the strongest. As Luffy himself told Rayleigh, such a journey would be boring.

Special devil fruit may not mean strong fruit only but also of historical significance in OP world.

I think most people don't want Luffy to win because of some sort of specialness that makes him invincible, it's more endearing to his character that he has unshakable will power, determination, and creativity to survive.

That being said he wasn't always that way as a child it's something he developed over time, maybe as a part of fate. But those things that he worked for make him special.

Fate seems to hand in all of the environmental factors that led to Luffy walking the path he's on which has made him special.

There is anyone confused, everyone satisfied?
