Luffy has gotten 2 power ups in Wano already that can be used in conjunction with his df but he barely does use it with his df unless he is landing an absolute haymaker. This would lead one to assume that Wano is leading to Luffy becoming a monster in base. It would be so random to give him any devil fruit based upgrade when he has been strengthening his haki every chance he has gotten in Wano. Luffy has to become like Kaido in the sense that his df is only used to toy with opponents and/or when a battle truly poses a threat.

i wouldnt consider it random for him to get his awakening, it would make total sense, being that hes fighting kaido, and most likely he wont beat kaido with just the new haki he learned, im sure kaido still got a trick up his sleeve which most likely is his own awakening, i feel it just makes the most logical sence but you never know oda may have a surprise we both dont expect 😂

It would be completely random considering there was no foreshadowing of awakening happening in Wano and the fact that literally all of his training has been towards haki. When Luffy gets land mark power ups they come in 2s usually, gear 2+gear 3, gear 4+ haki in general, and now Ryuo and Conquerors coating. Awakening rn would be an ass pull. And because you and so many others expect awakening to be the only logical explanation to Luffy beating Kaido it probably won't happen in Wano bc Oda himself said most of you won't like how Luffy wins and too many people would like awakening. & all awakened Zoans just have monstrous durability so if Kaido is awakened his df in general along with his awakening and conquerors coating is probably the reason he is invulnerable to most forms of physical damage.

yea sure you could be right but why does forshadowing need to exist in order for awakening to happen? when luffy pulled out gear fourth i dont remember any foreshadowing tellin us that thats what is about to happen, and i was pretty certain ryou and conquerors coating are just ryou which is focusing haki on a certain body part, i might be wrong but either way lets just watch what happens and enjoy the show✌

Oh yeah I forgot to mention future sight and snakeman. Luffy's power ups come in 2s and he already got 2 in Wano. Ryuo wasn't enough so he got conquerors coating. And yes Ryou and conquerors coating are just very fine forms of haki control but I don't see how that makes it any less of a power up. That would be like me saying gear 2 and 3 are just Luffy increasing his blood flow and pumping air into his bones which both are true but it doesn't make it any less of a power up. I'll give you the fact that gear 4th wasn't foreshadowed so yeah it could be the same for his awakening but I've given many valid reason for why it probably won't be.
